About 60 yrs ago, Susie cut a tater in half (in my backyard) rubbed it on her wart & threw the tater over the back of her head & that darn wart did leave her finger in about a wk----No Kidding-- Isn't there some kind of wart remover you dab on & it kills the core?
Freeze it off yourself. I took my DD to the MD for a plantars wart and he brought out the store-bought kind that you use to freeze them off. I thought, "I could've done this myself" and told him so. He said I definitely could've. He did it at the office then I did it myself on her wart 3 days later and about 1 1/2 weeks later... it looked like the darn wart was still there BUT it was just the scab. The scab fell off and no more wart- EVER!
I had three warts. The wart stuff you buy in the store took care of two of them, but not the third. So I put liquid bandage on for a week, and then used the store stuff on it, and I think it's working.
People used to come to my Mom to have warts removed, she used a cut potato. Everybody thought it was magic, but it isn't, the chemical in the potato kills the virus. She was the local "magician" and loved it. We didn't know what caused it at the time, but it worked!
It takes longer than the store bought, and sometimes doesn't work on different types, but it can't hoit as they say. :) Jan
Mix castor oil and baking soda into a paste, put it on the wart and cover with a bandage. Don't get it wet, and if you do, change it. I'd mix up enough to last at least a week. You don't need but a dab on it at a time. I removed a wart AND the top of a mole on my cheek that was getting too large. Now the mole was painful and bloody, and took 4 weeks, and I don't know if I would do it again, but it worked.
I don't know about warts but i remove skin tags with vitamin C.Crush a tablet(not the chewable flavored ones)and mix into a paste.Put a dab on a band aid and cover the tag.Change it every day and don't let it get wet.The tag will dry up and fall off.
I don't have any good helpful hints for you with any store bought products or home remedies. Both of my boys had several warts on their feet about a year ago. It was bad, :( I bought all sorts of things from the store. I had them soaking their feet in apple cider vinegar. Nothing I tried worked at all. We went to the foot doctor. He put an acid on their warts and we did this a few times and still no real results. Finally he sent us home with his little bottle of stuff called.........hold on, let me go get it........it is called Forma-Ray. It is amazing! Their warts were all gone in no time.
Thats what worked for us. Good luck to you Glenda.
