Moen's 'Level' kitchen faucet... or Moen in general

Peter Steinberg

So I'm on the tail end of a kitchen renovation and the dreaded faucet selection has come.

After going through all the styles, I decided for single hole, pullout sprayer, with lever.

I preferred a lever on top but couldn;t find one I liked. Everything was too modern or too old-timey.

So I switched to a side-lever and found a few I liked. And herein lie my questions:

-- How do people like their side lever faucets? I've only used a top lever. I assume a side lever is actually a bit easier to use hands-free -- the only problem is having guests understand which way is hot and which is cold.

-- Does anyone have the Moen "Lever" faucet in their kitchen?

I looked at a lot of fancier brands (the fridge is sub-zero, the dishwasher Miele, the range is American Range) but in the end, I liked the styling of this Moen best.

The problem is that I associate Moen with really cheap rental apartments in college.

Opinions on Moen? Opinions on this faucet? Here it is if anyone wants to see it:

Thanks in advance!
