Moen kitchen faucets leaking 2022?

I’m debating on buying a Moen kitchen faucet after seeing reviews of leaks right off the bat. We’ve always bought Moen because of customer service and lifetime replacement guarantees. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I've had several Moen faucets, and have been generally satisfied. I had one that developed a leak after about 15 years, and they sent me a free replacement pronto as soon as I sent them a photo. I don't think you should form an opinion based solely on some anecdotal online reports since you can probably find similar reports on any other major manufacturer. There are any number of manufacturers, including Moen, who fit that bill.

My criteria for faucets are: brand name U.S. manufacturer that's been around for decades; customer service that's readily available by phone; readily available parts; lifetime warranty. Faucets are not complex items, so even moderately priced ones from a reliable source should hold up well.

Paying lots of money will not get you a faucet that will never leak or never need a replacement part, but it might get you a fancier-looking exterior design

I have had fewer problems with Moen products than Delta, and that is my honest and unbiased experience. Moen would be my first pick any time.

If I've learned one thing on GW, it's that NOTHING is all equal-- there are subtle differences among all things that we all can enjoy discussing at length! Seriously, though, the summary of my GW reading on faucets: 1) Ask, are its internal parts all metal, non-plastic? or possibly, are all of its parts metal? (Some object to plastic head, some don't.) You can only determine this by reading the specs. Many manufacturers do a range of faucets at various quality levels. 2) Is there a dealer nearby for servicing under warranty? We got a Grohe.

Don't kid yourself. When we built our home we were told Moen would warranty all fixtures as long as we owned the home.. Sign us up right.. Not the case at all they have many restrictions and reservations to get around their "warranty" and they do change styles as the fashion dictates so you have to replace your entire fixture anyway. I have been in my home 20 years and they do not have all the parts available because they don't manufacture that style anymore.. So I have to replace two fixtures if I want everything to look good.. I will say too that Moen has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with..

We are down to these 3 i think: 1. Delta Leland, requires 1-3/8" diameter hole ($297 CDN) https://www.deltafaucet.ca/customersupport/documentation/9178-sp-dst.html?document=pd 2. Moen Kaden, requires 1-1/2" diameter hole ($260 CDN) https://www.moen.com/shared/docs/product-specifications/87966sp.pdf 3. Moen Brantford, requires 1-1/2" diameter hole ($391 CDN) https://www.moen.com/shared/docs/product-specifications/7185esp.pdf I think we are leaning towards the Delta. We like the 1"+ more reach on the faucet and Delta seems to get slightly better reviews or shall i say fewer 1 star reviews. I know that reviews are sometimes a crapshoot but i bought (plan to return) the Moen Kaden and the Delta Marca to see what the finish, reach, heights are of each and the Delta feels sturdier. Hope it lasts. Here's the countertop. Installed today.
