Cheesesteaks and chips..
Simple meals until this house stuff is all finished up.

What did you have for your evening meal?

I had tomato soup with Goldfish...not very exciting

Mine wasn't really any better. We had clam chowder, DH had a sandwich of leftover fried clams from last night with his. We both had yogurt.

By the time I came in from weeding, and DH had cut our grass after work, loaded up the lawn mower and run down to an elderly friends and edged, cut hers, I had lost my inspiration to cook anything more balanced ;) I'll do better tomorrow.

Gadgets, that's my kind of dinner! I made salmon patties not too long ago. I like them cold the next day, on a bun with cole slaw on top. Beans of any kind are a staple in our house. Jasdip, your brussels sound spectacular! I mean REALLY! Bob, isn't it fun to try out different restaurants when attending work conferences? Try to find a good, locally owned BBQ place. North Carolina BBQ is quite nice.

Lots of comfort food tonight! Yum. I have to admit that I've never baked a steak, but why the heck not? Glad it turned out so good. One of these days I'm going to start a meat loaf thread. I've never made a good one, lol. I love lazagna, but it's a winter meal for me. I'll be more than ready for it when cooler weather gets here. I love it! Shirley, I've had those kinds of suppers lots of times. A little of this and that. I'm a total lover of leftovers. Sometimes, I'll 'repurpose' them, but not often. Raven, won't be long before the local corn starts showing up here. My tomatoes are showing lots of promise! Can't wait. Those salads sound good, Lindsey, I wish there were some good options for take out on Robert's way home. Plenty of restaurants....just not real healthy.

LOL Angela.......looking forward to an avocado!! Rhizo, I wish I lived closer, I'd crash your dinner. Now you made me want kabobs! Raven, I love a good sub.Haven't had a sub in a long time. Kittie, we love hamburger patties and broccoli. We need a potato though. OF, steak and strawberry pie. You eat well. Marilyn, tacos are so good. Now you made me want them, too. Glad I could help with your watermelon craving. :) Shirley, I always, always want ham, potatoes and green beans. I keep looking for ham on sale but it hasn't been in a dog's age. I think instead of craving everyone's meals and make them, I'll just have to make a road trip and visit you all!

Guacamole was on my menu, too. I chopped up a big chicken breast and sauteed it with an onion and Penzey 's Southwest seasoning. Then piled some on a flour tortilla and added layers of salsa, chopped tomato, lettuce, sour cream.......and guac. Don't know what the heck to call it, but it hit the spot!

I think as the weather warms..it happens...we had a lovely day here..only to get better and better for the rest of the work week..

I think our dinner tomorrow will be simple too..probably leftover chicken on greens.

Laura, I like tomato soup. Have been known to pop a few gold fish too.

Morz, you accomplished a lot..don't feel bad!

Terri, we had leftover chicken on salad greens last night....while staying glued to the weather on TV. I made thousand island dressing, a favorite of ours but don't have very often.

Mor, I am jealous of those clams you enjoy so often! I SO miss living in an area where fresh seafood is readily available.

Rhizo, it does seem like we've been eating (and cleaning, breading, cooking) a lot of clams, I'm almost a little 'clammed-out'....DH doesn't like to see them frozen. But they are close, plentiful, and it feels wasteful or something not to dig them the days the State has opened the beaches for clamming, so we eat clams ;)

I can a few jars for dips, chowder in off-season but haven't yet this year.

Mmmmm, cheesesteaks. Love 'em but rarely have them.

Last night was leftovers mushed together. Leftover grains with leftover broccoli and leftover meatloaf. Sounds awful, looked like the dog's dinner but tasted great.

No dinner for me last night. Larry had leftover something or other.
