I have a question about adding photos to the gallery. Is it fair game to add pictures that came from another website? I have quite a few that I copied to my computer from other sites because I was afraid they would be removed. I'd love to share them here, but don't want to violate any copyrights.

Maybe the answer is for us to get a sticky over there that says "Please read before you post here" and lets people know that questions go over here and huge photo collections go over there? Seems that couldn't hurt because "lost" people are always kicking the best threads to page 2, 3, 4, etc. Not only that but there is repetition on the color threads. It would be great to see just a few really right on the mark color threads stay on page one too. JMO. I haven't seen any other boards with serious galleries -- but maybe the kitchen board has one? Not sure. Others need to chime in here. Maybe we should start a new thread about this and ask people for ideas and see if they would at least join us in asking -- is it Tamara? -- to put a sticky in the gallery attempting to protect it better?? I do like your ideas!

Hi Kitchenkelly! Thanks, nice to see you too. Did you happen to notice when the ceiling thread disappeared from the gallery? That still has me scratching my head. I tried to make each "piece of glass" look like the real thing and unless you get right up on them, they do look real. Once you're nose-to-nose with them you realize they're not, but they're so pretty you don't care -- at least I think so. No, the two windows I did were my own designs (though the center of the big one is a Tiffany design I adopted). However, there are some beautiful new patterns out that Michaels has -- I saw them a couple of weeks ago at my local store, so it's worth it for you to check them out. If you do your windows, it's quite a lot of work standing on your feet (if you're a perfectionist like I am). I did my bathroom window in place. But for the huge one where I would have had to be up on a ladder, no way. I had the hardware store cut me a piece of plexiglas to fit the window and did it on my living room rug. For my son's, I did the dragonfly and the flowers at my dining room table on special cling stuff you can get from the Window Butterflies lady online, then did the rest of the window right on the glass, incorporating and sealing those in.
