WooHoo! got the iphone synced including the music!

I did it all by myself, with all your help, except for the music. Had to call Chirs today. I missed clicking on one thing. That was all. Thanks for all the help. Now I can attempt the kindle app on it and see what trouble I can get into there!

Well, you worked hard on that, didn't you?! So glad you got it going. You are going to love it--it's an amazing device. I was not completely thrilled when DH got me one as a gift because I thought I didn't need it. Just let him try to get it away from me now!!

golddust, if you get into problems of a more technical nature, don't know if you know about crackberry, but their forums are outstanding for phone problems. It's mostly geared toward berries but they do have Droid & iPhone forums now. There are a lot of people trying to get their VZW iPhones up and running. Think I read some issues with syncing and what worked for some. See "vzw iphone just arrived" thread.

Congrats, had I known you wanted one I would have sent you my dd's. Wish we never got it for her... We did not bother to research enough and found out after she purchased it that there is a Free Text app. She can also get on the internet as long as she can find an unlocked server where she is. Ours is locked but she can get several others when she sits on her bed. She has been texting without out knowing. The messages can be deleted instantly and I think disappear on their own quickly. So basically for a parent it is near impossible to monitor. The times we randomly check we have caught a few inappropriate teen conversations and are dealing with that. Also, teens are addicted to this thing. They literally sleep with it under the pillow or beside them under the covers. She even goes into the bathroom with it. It is really annoying. We do make her turn it in at night which helps. At least with a cell phone texting is retrievable. We wish we had just got her a new phone with texting and a separate ipod. But for an adult it is a great enjoyment. Have fun. My DH is a lot like you with music. He even has Sirrus in his car where I just have my regular radio. Heck, I was really bummed when he took out my cassette player in my old car and put in a cd player. I could not listen to my old Andy Gibb cassette. He has been trying to find it and needs to look again. I gotta have my Andy! Oh, you have to get the app where you toss wads of paper into the trash can. That is so addictive!!!!

Thank you, Voila, and you, too. Thank you, KSWL, we have a few very nice consignment stores. And yes, we love our Goodwill for plays and for costuming. The kids' schools often give extra credit if you wear a costume for a presentation so we are always going to good will to transform them into one thing or another. We take it home, wash it, wear it, wash it and donate it right back since it is usually not normal attire. I do still regret sometimes, re-donating this fabulous, dashing black velvet cape with a vivid red silk lining and frog closures. But I am sure the next person to find was as tickled as we were and it really had no use offstage. Thanks Holly-kay. I wondered what shape they are. Water? White wine? They seem to have a sort of spare tire. Thanks Violet, Fori, Breezy, Annie,Lynn, Nosoccer, Lucy, BBTSX, Maddie, Marcolo and Funky Javachik, My goodness, how do you know? I looked it up I think you are right. SueB, Yes, so much so. That's why I was so pleased when it occurred to me I need not to go the dreaded mall! Linelle, I must need tapping lessons. My crystal here at home is St Louis Appollo Gold. I was curious so I tried the Tibb method and i got nothing. I was a little worried I was going to flick them right off the counter. I have some Waterford bowls and they are downright musical. How amazing to have glasses a century plus old! WOw

LOL socks! DH had his a year before I got mine. I had an old flip phone. I started to try to remember to carry a palm pilot to help me keep track of mom & dad's meds and appts. Half the time I wouldn't have it when I needed it. So when the new iphone came out a year ago, I got the 3G with the limited data package on it, for keeping notes. I love it! I try to stay off line with it when I don't have wi-fi, and so far, have never gone over my data time. Won't get mine away from me either!

I only have 500mb of data plan a month. I use the 3G quite often because Wifi doesn't always work at work. I've yet to go over. What helps me is, I rarely use my cell phone to make an actual phone call. If I use 20 minutes a month, that's a lot. I've had my phone just over a year now. My husband got a 4G 2 months ago. He's the same, didn't think he needed one. Now you can't pry it out of his hands. His favourite app is the talking cat.

Great news, Tami! I really am loving mine as well, and I was a sworn loyalist to Blackberry! The only thing I dislike is the way my one email account syncs, liked the BB much more, but all in all...love my iPhone and glad you do too~

Lynn_d, what about email sync don't you like? I have it syncing one Gmail account and one Comcast account beautifully.

Joann, it is working as it is to work but I don't like it, this impacts only my MS Exchange business account. If I delete a message on my phone it also deletes it on my actual email. It doesn't do this on my Outlook account for some reason, I worry that I will delete something in error from my exchange account which would be disastrous.
