swim-mor customer, filter configuration concerns.

Swim-Mor installed our filter last week. I checked it out and was suprised to discover a very basic configuration with no valves. There is simply one line in and one line out. I assume that the bottom drains and 2 skimmers connect underground o create the line in while the line out feeds the 2 returns and polaris in similar fashion.

I have never seen a filter configured this way. I alway thought it important to have valves enabling you to turn off a skimmer or return as needed. Also, I thought it was more common to enclude a valve enabling you to reverse flow to the main drains to cycle warm water from the surface to the deeper cooler areas.

This was not discussed during the sales process, and since I had never seen a filter without valves I just assumed that everything would be ok. Do I need to go to battle with the pool company to redo all of this, or is this simple configuration going to serve me just as well?

Thanks for your feedback!
