I do the entire Easter dinner every year, including a big Easter basket for DH, even if it is only DH and myself. This year I will do it big time. I will have my 4 grandkids here! Egg hunt, baskets, the whole works! I'm looking forward to it too. I love Easter!

Last year, Easter was a big event--my parents and brother were here and I did baskets for everyone. This year, with Mom gone, it will just be Dad, DH and me. I'm cooking a ham, etc. Don't know if I will do baskets or not.

We have Easter breakfast at our house...We've been doing this for years...We always start with Mass and then breakfast/brunch with my DH doing all the cooking....With 5 married kids and 13 grandkids plus friends, he makes quite a few waffles..He also does the cleaning up...Just another reason I keep him around.....

Yes, a huge one!! Plenty of husbands family coming in! Bar-B-Que pork ribs. And smoking turkey, chicken, and fresh hams. Every one else provides the veggies, casseroles, bread, drinks, etc. I think I get off easy.

Not at home, maybe at work since I have to work that day. The kids will be over at their father's house.

I'm planning on going to my parents. They have 4 grandkids aged 14 to 20 and all the kids still hunt eggs... there's over $200. in cash in those eggs, so I can't blame them! lol

I love to cook, but unfortunately since my DS has remarried, I'm not on the agenda, sigh!

I might escape, like I did Christmas, and go somewhere :o(

Oh, yeah!! I'll have about 15 and will have 2 young ones to hunt Easter eggs. We all have a great time. Charlene

I'll be home alone. I might go to Moody Gardens, like we did for Christmas. I will have to go alone, but I don't mind.

Glenda, I love Destin. My late husband and I went to Destin for three months every winter and stayed in a townhouse (Sanddollar) right on the beach. Enjoy.

U betcha! Went grocery shopping today...2 hams purchased with all the trimmings and fixings for creamed potatoes, fresh corn, green beans, rolls, coleslaw, buttered rolls and my favorite....carrot cake!

Our daughter and her family of three girls and that special SIL are coming from Florida (they will be here sometime Wednesday) and our son, who is not married and lives in a small town nearby will be coming for Easter Dinner on Saturday....then on Sunday I'll fix a quick bite of cereal and milk for the girls before we head out to church.....but the Easter Bunny will have been busy the night before preparing a special brunch to enjoy before they head back to Florida! Probably have a breakfast casserole in the crockpot while we're at church...fresh baked biscuits with ham (if I have any left from Saturday)muffins, fresh fruit, juice and coffee!

Wanna come? It will be great!

My Sister Marjorie and probably my brother will be coming for Easter Dinner. I am serving really nice bone in ham steaks which I've already purchased, scalloped potatoes, sunshine carrot salad, probably some broccoli and lemon meringue pie for dessert. I will most likely cook the ham steaks in the oven with some pineapple. This way with the ham steaks the left overs are manageable. LOL

Both my brother and sister are now diabetic so I guess there won't be as many treats this year as in the past except for me of course. LOL My brother always makes me up a nice basket.

I was, but now it's uncertain. My BIL collapsed and died of a heart attack at the age of 41 on Wednesday. I don't know what will happen. This has been such a hard week!

I will be cooking for about 20 people. All Holidays are a big family event.
Glenda I think your son is very inconsiderate to leave you alone on Holidays like he does, remarried or not!
You are the only Mother he has and it is shameful that he doesn't care if you are alone. I have read several notes from you talking about how he doesn't have much to do with you.
Can't have much respect for a man that treats his mama that way.
But then there is probably more to this than the fact that he is remarried.

We will go out to a buffet brunch. Not much joy this Easter, but our Grandchildren need to know that the entire family is there, we will be together and that will never change.
They need to know that just because their Father has abandoned them, the rest us the family never will.
Brunch has always been a tradition and I think they need it more than ever.

We'll be having Easter meal here on Sunday afternoon. There are fifteen of us.

there's a 10 yr old, 9 yr old, and a 3 yr old that will be hunting eggs. I have put money in the eggs before for the older kids...and hid them down in the timber, so they are harder to find.

Kind of depends on what the weather will be like.

On Saturday our church will be having an egg hunt with prizes...We have a thousand plastic eggs. 600 of them are filled so far. We have to get more candy and get they rest done this week.

That will be for all neighborhood children.

Going to be a busy week.

It will be just the 3 of us adults like usual. I will make a special breakfast, crepes with fresh fruit. For dinner we will have a lamb roast cooked on the rotisserie. And some kind of special dessert.
