Question about Train Game

Are all the games winable? I have tried some several times and can't seem to get all the trains together. Do I just need to try harder? Seems like the trains this time are harder for me to do. Maybe my brain is hardened more!!!

I found that if you get the cabooses moved first, it is easier to win.
Then try to get as mamy engines moved.

I've won 3 times today.
I'm wishing there was another level to move to.
Not bragging, but I've gotten pretty good at it.

I couldn't figure out how to 'win', either - I finally just gave up.

Rather than wire or (shudder) green plastic tape, I use Gardman Chainlock. Jeri turned me on to it when I saw the climbers tied with it at the Stagecoach Inn pruning demo. Infinitely adjustable in seconds and infinitely reusable. Also makes a great reusable wrap around bushes when transplanting. Unlike green tape and wire, you can store small pieces neatly in a canister of some sort, no straightening required. I hang longer pieces on a hook. I don't think the price is bad ($21 for 100') when you consider the adjustability and reusability compared to green tape or wire. As you say, wire goes away and plastic gets brittle so reuse is limited. Plus, it won't cut into the canes like wire can, at least under normal stresses, not 100 year storms ;-) I won't go back! This sounds familiar. Last year Andrea got a CCT in a trade - except that it wasn't. I remember the trade because the husband wrote a note insisting his wife was not wrong. Aka _Margo and others were still waiting to receive their trades. In the end the wife admitted it might not be CCT. Joyce - email Andrea and Margo and see if it's the same person. It would be interesting to know if it the same woman, and if so find out why is she still passing her Honeybells off as CCT. She needs to be banned from trading or at least "outted" to other forum members so they don't get burned. Here is the link to last year's thread. Good luck! Mine grows like that as well but there is a main stem that is much thicker then the others. I haven't bothered pruning mine but do lift the vines an attach them to a trellis. Mine is only about 4 or 5 years old. The local nature center has several growing over a large pergola and they are pruned to a single lower main stem, actually a trunk, because it's several inches in diameter. They allow them to branch when they reach near the top of the pergola. I have no idea how old their vines are but it looks beautiful.

I have a macbook pro, (which is really way too much computer for me and I don't know how to use it effectively, but that's another issue) and it doesn't have a mouse. So when the screen comes up only the first question fits on the screen. So I have to move the cursor over to the pull-down bar to get the next few questions up. So all this back and forthing is costing me time. Is there a way to minimize the questions so they are all on one screen?

I don't know if all games are winnable or not. I've wondered about that before too. I usually try to move all the cabooses that are at the front of the line, then move all the engines that are at the back of the line before I do anything else. I win in spurts.

Some times the games do seem to be set up easier than at other times. A couple of times ago when it showed up it was hard to win even one game. The time before that it was so easy I got bored.

I finally won one game. It's great to see all those trains rolling out!

I have won lots of games, but today I seem to be lucky to get three lined up.

I can't imagine that ALL are possible, but I don't do them over.

I get to a certain point, and realize that game is not winnable and opt out!
I, too, think some are more winnable than others.
Once I check it out and see, I start another game.

I get all the trains lined up about 8 out of 10 times. Once in a while I get all but one lined up. I hardly ever get a yard jam (maybe one out of 30 or 40 games).

I think every game is winnable, but if I'm at a point where I know I can't win, I start a new game. I rarely replay the same game.

Jeez, I haven't won one yet! I've gotten up to 6 out of 8. I finally had to quit tonight because I was making myself crazy!

I forgot something. When I play the small version and I want a new game I press that button and a screen comes up that says it is rearranging the trains but nothing happens after that. Any ideas about that? I have to exit out of the game and come back in to get a different configuration.

Every game is winnable. Sometimes they are fairly straightforward, but some are curly and take many, many tries before they come out. I'm stubborn- I keep resetting each game until I finally work it out.

I click NEW and then click on the browser BACK button and I get a new game.
