"90 minutes in heaven"? My sister said someone loaned her the book the other day, and she wants to get it for me.

I haven't read it, but looked it up on Amazon. It got pretty good reviews.

My own spiritual book recommendations would be Talking to Heaven: A Medium's Message of Life After Death by James VanPraagh, Walking in the Garden of Souls by George Anderson and Hello from Heaven: A New Field of Research-After-Death Communication Confirms That Life and Love Are Eternal. These are some of the first books I read on the subject and have found them all very helpful.

I'm not familiar with that book, Jamie, but one that I often recommend is No Goodbyes: My Search Into Life Beyond Death, by Adela Rogers Sr. Johns. It's an old book, but used copies are available on Amazon and elsewhere.

St. Johns was a famous journalist who covered the big stories of her day, including the Lindbergh kidnapping. After she lost her son in WWII, he began communicating with his sister through automatic writing. St. Johns applied her journalist's skills to investigate the survival of the spirit after death.

I read it before my daughter Jill died, and thought it was excellent. Of course I read it again afterward.

Mike mangos do very well in containers in the GH. Make sure you get a grafted dwarf variety. They are almost as easy as papayas. Some varieties do better in pots then others. I still think the flavor of container grown fruit up north is inferior to inground and container trees grown trees from down South but it's fun to be able to pick fruit off your own tree. I got rid of most of my fruit trees a while back so that I could devote more GH space to flowering plants. Years ago there were few varieties available in the grocery store and they weren't that ripe or tasty but now I can get a wide variety of ripe mangos at the Asian markets. Have you taken a look at the Tropical Fruit Forum? You can get a lot of good info there.

Thanks spatz I I shall leave them stem on then. I was getting myself a little worried. Lovely looking tomatoes there mate. Is that from last season or this. I gotta say you guys have been really helpful. This tomato gig is really new to me and the more info I get from people who have actually grown the varieties in home garden conditions the more confident I feel about growing them on a half arsed market scale. See, there are more of us out there!! :) I couldn't apologize for it if I wanted to, I simply had to have that book. I loved it and still do. There are some books we come across that we read and enjoy and let drift on, then there are others where the characters speak, you hear their voices (so to speak), smell the air where they are in the story and are immersed in the sounds from cover to covers end. Am I Jewish? No. All I know is that I wanted to sit beneath the terebinth tree at the home of Shimeon Ben Gamaliel and listen to the teacher speak, break bread and dip with others. I have tried looking up Shimeon Ben Gamaliel on google and yahoo and have found Shimeon, but not with the rest of the name. Also, have never been able to come across a title Howard Fast used of 'Nashi'. Can anyone help? If so, thank you so much! Kim p.s. There is a point in the story where Berenice is distraught over the course her husband is taking and recites to him the words of his father. It moved me so much as young as I was, that I wrote it on the cover of all my notebooks in school. You know, I had teachers in English and Social Studies read it and no one thought to ask why I had it. It began 'Who diminishes another, diminishes me...'. Can anyone recall the rest?

Personally I found it a pretty dry read. I much preferred The Shack and Conversations with God by Neale Walsh - actually one of my all time favorite books.
James Van Praagh's writings are very enjoyable as Lydia mentioned.
I would get "90 minutes" from the library. I do own it, but it wouldn't be a book I would recommend buying for a 2nd or 3rd reading.

I hated "The Shack"....

haven't read "90 mins in heaven" but heard it was good.

My son has heard one of the talks from the guy who was the injured person the 90 mins in heaven book is about. He thought it was awesome.

I liked The First 5 People You Meet in Heaven, too.

It explains how this man's life affected others and vice versa.
