suggestions for a write up I'm doing??

I went to a retirement party, and I wrote something up about it- for myself to keep and because I know some friends at work who will be interested in seeing it. Anyway, I'm stuck on how to finish the very last part. This is the end of the last paragraph:

"We all have a shared past; and now one of our own, 'Jane Doe', has reached a huge milestone. She is moving on to the peaceful and beautiful life with her soul mate, Bob, that she deserves, and one that she has earned. IÂm very happy for Jane, as she moves into her new life. But IÂm sure going to miss her!"

I'm not even sure I like the second last sentence, but I wonder if there should be something descriptive to put after "new" and before "life" (in the last sentence), or if it looks fine the way it is. My brain is stuck. Any feedback?
