There may still be hope for me at 70. She's 78

Liz Taylor, and sounds like she's going for #9. As stated on NBC news. He's 49 and news says they have been together for some time.

Maybe it's not too late for ME!

Here's a new link in case the Photobucket link is not working: http://www.flickr.com/photos/50788319@N06/sets/72157635419567072/ Haha no, I'm definitely not trying to get the backyard of the month award! Again, my front yard is a different story, but I'll take care of it next year ;) Deep and infrequent watering sounds great and it's something I can definitely manage. I've seen tons of turbo oscillators in my local store as well as online so I'll get one of those. Alfalfa pellets are available online but they sell them in small packages. It would be much easier for me to just get a lawn fertilizer instead of animal food. We have tons of choices here and they're all available online, plus overnight shipping is the standard method of shipping here (perks of living in a smaller country ;) so it's really convenient. Temperatures have now dropped to 65-70 degrees Fahrenheit, there may be 75 degrees on hotter days. Do you think it's a good time to overseed now or should I wait until temperatures drop even more? Now, as for the grass seed choice, I'm still not sure which mix I should go with... I don't have full sun all day. The main area of my lawn is in sun a lot (I'd say around 5 hours or more) and it's dry and spotty now. But there are also areas which are in shade most of the day, and they're greener and thicker than the rest of the lawn. By the way, if you check out my photos, there is one picture in which you can see the shaded areas and the areas that are in sun a lot. Here are the mixes I considered - I'm posting them in English instead of Latin. They're offered by Barenbrug - it's a well-renowned European company, something like Scotts in the US. I'd love a thick, dark-green lawn. I've seen a lot of those in Pennsylvania but I'm not sure if it's possible to get that color in my climate. Most lawns around here are pale-green and "wimpy", just like mine. Super Sport - their aggressive, durable mix, seems like a good choice but I'm scared of the maintenance. 43,00% Kentucky Bluegrass 29,00% Perennial Ryegrass 18,00% Creeping red fescue (fine fescue) 10,00% Chewings fescue (fine fescue) Exclusor - their "premium" mix, which supposedly looks really good. 50% Slender creeping red fescue (fine fescue) 30,00% Perennial Ryegrass 20,00% Chewings fescue (fine fescue) Water Saver - little watering required 80,00% Tall fescue 10,00% Perennial Ryegrass 10,00% Kentucky Bluegrass

Lindyb, Everything that David Austin says about this rose is true. The Queen is an excellent rose here in NEPA. She's very hardy, disease free, floriferous, fragrant, and has a well behaved bush form. Her petals are slighty translucent and are held firmly on sturdy stems. If you pick the blooms just as they are beginning to open, they will last about 5 days in a vase. Her spent blooms drop off cleanly. Thorns are few and far between. I so love this rose. I have three of them and I'm considering adding a couple more this spring. I don't know how it would do in your area but I really think it's worth taking a chance on. I don't think you can go wrong!

I love 'Squid'! She looks like a real character and a heart-stealer. First I chuckled because of her cute pose, and then I chuckled when you said 'She may not be as pretty as yours'...ha! I have shown my 'old lady' LILY who is a senior citizen and severely underweight (just looks fluffy because of all the long fur!) and FATCAT NEMO who is about 10 pounds overweight (or in other words, he should be two cats!). Of course, I will not argue that ZEUS is gorgeous (he's my Baby), but all of us here know that ALL cats are beautiful. I just love them all, and I would love to see pictures of your others! I swear sometimes that I was a cat in another life. I feel such a bond with them, especially my Zeus. I have had many cats over the years, and all of them were rescues. Zeus did come to me by way of my daughter, but she rescued him as a kitten taken away from his momma before he was even weaned. She had to feed him with an eye dropper every couple of hours. The people took the babies from the mother and put them in a box and left them by the side of the road with a FREE sign, and they were only about 3 or 4 weeks old! Luckily my daughter knew the people who had done it and called animal rescue to save the others. I very much enjoyed meeting Squid and I hope you will introduce us to your other 'family' members soon. I already know they will be beautiful just like Squid. Celeste

Annie, I have seen some 10 minute stretches and mini workouts for runners but that isn't likely to be what you need. The ones I saw recently took 10-20 minutes and were meant to improve both running form and additional fitness. I'll have to find the link again if you are interested. I bookmarked it at work I know. BTW I ran a 5k Saturday morning and really had a great race. I won my age group (65-69)! Really got a good start and had an 11 minute first mile and a little over that for the second. The 3rd mile I slowed down a bit but the course was really rolling hills and there was a hill just before the end of mile 3. I finished in 35:40 so very happy with that.

When I read it earlier this afternoon I said "Oh for crying out loud!" Her and ZaZa Gabor! ZaZa's present husband is 64 or 65 and she is 93. They have been married since 1986.

How sad they need someone in their lives to feel complete. Liz is Gorgeous. She surely doesn't need a Man to feel complete.

If you "NEED" someone to complete your life...there is something wrong with your life.

Zsa Zsa and her husband have been married since 1986? That's 24 years! Sure doesn't sound like a bad match to me. Good for them; something they've done has worked. I could be cynical and say that he probably hoped that she'd die much sooner so he could have her money, but I don't think that's necessarily true. Perhaps he just loves her?

Regarding Liz, if he makes her happy I'm happy for her.

Rich old men marry young women all the time. People think they're fools because the women want their money and don't really love them. Well, I think that Liz is intelligent enough to know that if it's true and come to the decision (again, if it's true) that he makes her happy and that's what she wants at this time in her life.

Why is it so wierd for this kind of relationship to occur? It would be a lot different discussion if she were the man and he was the woman!LOL I say more power to her (and him) if that's what they both want!

I'm not against different decade relationships, but these two don't even look good together. I sure hope she gets a pre-nup, because this one looks like a "diggin for gold" situation to me, and most of "them" will wait as long as it takes (with a little fun on the side, of course).

Wasn't it Zsa Zsa's husband who claimed to be Anna Nicole's baby daddy? Could be a brain burp on my part but it seems I remember something about it.

Liz has reported that there is no truth to the rumors. Here is the story from CNN.

Elizabeth Taylor denies she's getting married again
Los Angeles, California (CNN) -- Elizabeth Taylor posted a message on Twitter Monday denying rumors she is engaged to her manager.

A magazine report Friday said the legendary actress was engaged to Jason Winters, the 49-year-old man who has served as her manager for several years.

"The rumors regarding my engagement simply aren't true," Taylor tweeted. "Jason is my manager and dearest friend. I love him with all my heart."

Taylor, 78, has been married eight times, including two marriages to actor Richard Burton.

Her publicist, when asked about the engagement rumor, said Friday it was no secret that Taylor and Winters were close friends.

A representative confirmed that the tweets were from Taylor, who often uses Twitter to communicate with her fans.

The Oscar-winning actress has been busy preparing for the launch of her newest fragrance -- Violet Eyes -- on Mother's Day.

She created it with the same chemist who formulated her last fragrance White Diamonds, which has been a best-seller since it was first released two decades ago.
