Liz Taylor, and sounds like she's going for #9. As stated on NBC news. He's 49 and news says they have been together for some time.

Maybe it's not too late for ME!

Again, my front yard is a different story, but I'll take care of it next year ;) Deep and infrequent watering sounds great and it's something I can definitely manage. I've seen tons of turbo oscillators in my local store as well as online so I'll get one of those. Alfalfa pellets are available online but they sell them in small packages. It would be much easier for me to just get a lawn fertilizer instead of animal food. We have tons of choices here and they're all available online, plus overnight shipping is the standard method of shipping here (perks of living in a smaller country ;) so it's really convenient. Temperatures have now dropped to 65-70 degrees Fahrenheit, there may be 75 degrees on hotter days. Do you think it's a good time to overseed now or should I wait until temperatures drop even more? Now, as for the grass seed choice, I'm still not sure which mix I should go with... I don't have full sun all day. The main area of my lawn is in sun a lot (I'd say around 5 hours or more) and it's dry and spotty now. But there are also areas which are in shade most of the day, and they're greener and thicker than the rest of the lawn. By the way, if you check out my photos, there is one picture in which you can see the shaded areas and the areas that are in sun a lot. Here are the mixes I considered - I'm posting them in English instead of Latin. They're offered by Barenbrug - it's a well-renowned European company, something like Scotts in the US. I'd love a thick, dark-green lawn. I've seen a lot of those in Pennsylvania but I'm not sure if it's possible to get that color in my climate. Most lawns around here are pale-green and "wimpy", just like mine. I found a little red bay coming up near my best red bay earlier this spring, so I dug and potted it up. After the female palamedes visited, I put it on a bench in my garden to make sure she could find it. I was rewarded today - She laid her egg on some new growth at the top of the plant. I'm planning on keeping this one in a pot for as long as I can. I know I'll have to keep potting it up to bigger pots, but having one that's easily accessible would be so good! Most of the other red bays on the property are tall, with the lowest branches too high up to reach. Even the good red bay has gotten so tall, I'll need the big ladder to reach the lowest limbs. I went to the garage to get the big ladder, which is hung sideways on nails, and found a Carolina wren tending her nest in it! Hopefully, my short ladder will be tall enough I can reach the leaves of the good red bay. Most of them on the property look terrible, with those awful galls all over. I looked for more eggs and couldn't find any, but she may have put some on the good red bay - I don't blame her for shunning the bad ones here. I'll pot up all the seedlings that come up around the good one and plant them out eventually. Red bay/Persea has SO many problems! Here's a full picture of the one in the container - the 'good red bay' may actually be P. palustris/swamp bay and the ones full of galls may be P. borbonia/red bay, I don't know. If I can get time, I think I'll check out the many red bays/swamp bays that grow along the main road here. They look better than the ones on my property, at least when I'm driving by. They may or may not look so good close up, and they may have some cats on them I can raise. Another thing I've considered doing, if I can find a lot of cats to raise, is raise some on sassafras. I once had palamedes and spicebush swallowtail cats together in the same big cage. The palamedes swallowtails would occasionally eat some of the sassafras leaves meant for the spicebush swallowtails. They developed fine, with no difference from those who didn't eat any sassafras. Since sassafras doesn't have the blight and the galls that red bay gets, if palamedes swallowtails would start laying eggs on it, I think they'd do fine. Maybe if I could raise a female on sassafras, she'd lay her eggs on it? Hmmmmm.........I don't know, but if I get enough to raise, which I doubt, it's worth a try. Sherry

This morning Jarod came to repair the porch, not this afternoon like he said. Oh well, not going to argue. He finished up by 12:30pm. by putting a new top and half of a bottom rail on because the old ones would not nail back to the siding. Looks good! But now I will have to paint. Meanwhile, I'm watching the episodes of Sarah Richardson's Farmhouse on HGTV - only online as someone posted the link here in Conversations. I love this series, and no commercials! Somehow I miss it on Saturdays. I think she's smart and funny, and I love her assistant - they make an enjoyable team to watch. But, I hardly think I'd be able to do anything she's accomplished with that house. She paid $500,000 for the house plus 50 acres and put another $400,000 in it. Wow. Although I really like her ideas and no doubt it's beautiful, it's too much color for me. I finally had to stop at the livingroom remodel episode and go mow yard. But it's bookmarked and I'll definitely go back tonight and watch some more. Your cups with the yellow gold florals are beautiful becr.I wish I could find something like that. Glad you got the rain you needed. Yes, lass - wonderful weather here too. Sorry about your cold. This morning was cool and damp though, but around 1pm. it turned gorgeous. As I said, I mowed yard and then made broccoli cheese soup for supper. Just now had my Thursday Tea while writing checks to pay my bills (first of the month is tomorrow!). I had the Lapsang Souchong - as soon as I opened the box of tea bags I smelled something like bacon or smoked ham. Seriously, it's that strong. I wasn't sure what to expect as I took the first sip, but was pleasantly surprised. The tea tastes like a smoky green tea. Had three cups, so it couldn't have been too bad.

Christine, Yes it's true that most Hosta move easily. Not Liberty and not Sagae. They like to stay put. The general rule is that you should plant the ones that will be Giant at maturity in the place you want them to stay before they get too big. Moving a mature Giant is a task that might take several strong people to accomplish, and still is not easily done. Otherwise people differ in their approach. Some plant using mature size as a guideline and use companion plants or annuals as "filler." Other people plant the small, medium and even large Hosta closer together and redesign the bed later on. Personally, I tend towards the former approach, but there have been times when I've placed plants in a spot where I know they will have to be moved in a year or two. Steve

When I read it earlier this afternoon I said "Oh for crying out loud!" Her and ZaZa Gabor! ZaZa's present husband is 64 or 65 and she is 93. They have been married since 1986.

How sad they need someone in their lives to feel complete. Liz is Gorgeous. She surely doesn't need a Man to feel complete.

Zsa Zsa and her husband have been married since 1986? That's 24 years! Sure doesn't sound like a bad match to me. Good for them; something they've done has worked. I could be cynical and say that he probably hoped that she'd die much sooner so he could have her money, but I don't think that's necessarily true. Perhaps he just loves her?

Regarding Liz, if he makes her happy I'm happy for her.

Rich old men marry young women all the time. People think they're fools because the women want their money and don't really love them. Well, I think that Liz is intelligent enough to know that if it's true and come to the decision (again, if it's true) that he makes her happy and that's what she wants at this time in her life.

I'm not against different decade relationships, but these two don't even look good together. I sure hope she gets a pre-nup, because this one looks like a "diggin for gold" situation to me, and most of "them" will wait as long as it takes (with a little fun on the side, of course).

Liz has reported that there is no truth to the rumors. Here is the story from CNN.

Elizabeth Taylor denies she's getting married again
Los Angeles, California (CNN) -- Elizabeth Taylor posted a message on Twitter Monday denying rumors she is engaged to her manager.

A magazine report Friday said the legendary actress was engaged to Jason Winters, the 49-year-old man who has served as her manager for several years.

"The rumors regarding my engagement simply aren't true," Taylor tweeted. "Jason is my manager and dearest friend. I love him with all my heart."

Taylor, 78, has been married eight times, including two marriages to actor Richard Burton.

Her publicist, when asked about the engagement rumor, said Friday it was no secret that Taylor and Winters were close friends.

A representative confirmed that the tweets were from Taylor, who often uses Twitter to communicate with her fans.

The Oscar-winning actress has been busy preparing for the launch of her newest fragrance -- Violet Eyes -- on Mother's Day.

She created it with the same chemist who formulated her last fragrance White Diamonds, which has been a best-seller since it was first released two decades ago.
