We spray after the birds have gone to sleep, late afternoon after watering all day, usually for 8-10 hours. This year, however, we have only sprayed once. Our humidity is in the 20s-30s and no need to spray except for Golden Celebration which is the only rose with blackspot and it is covered. I am not hauling out the spray for one rose, so it will have to push and pull for life. I am not going to assist it in its mischief if it has to be a diva in this heat. Yesterday afternoon at 6:30 p.m.,100 degrees.

I got mine today too, and just in time! I'm leaving at some strange hour of morning on tuesday, and this is the last day they could have arrived that I would've had a chance to do something with them :) I wasn't expecting them, I was so surprised! in a looong stretch of inconvenient days, they arrived on the ONE convenient day possible. I love it when that happens, it's usually the opposite. lol. they're extremely wilted and I don't blame them, LOL. the more hardwood part seems pretty firm but the thick green stems are a little rubbery. the growing tip on the coral pink appears to have just given up, but the ecuador has some decent sized leaves and they seem to be perking back up again :) so, someone needs to tell me when I get back who to send the moneys to! :) omg, and I think I still owe theresa money for the lotus tubers! if I owe anyone money please let me know. lol. things have been so crazy lately! thanks again, lindas and gloria and everyone on here that made this possible. you guys are absolute dolls. I'm so sorry about your reno fatigue--that can be overwhelming sometimes. I would say that whether or not you are up to the delays, etc that are involved w/ redoing the tile is a decision for you and dh to make. However, if choose to have it redone, I would strongly encourage you to reconsider paying out of pocket for more tile. It sounds like you did your homework about this tile, discussed it beforehand w/ the GC, and have had realistic expectations of what is acceptable. This is installer error, thus the burden to pay for a fix *is not on you*. Given your good working relationship w/ the GC, hopefully all will proceed peacefully. And I suspect your dh would be much more amenable to a re-do if there is no cost to y'all. I know mine would be! p.s. It is definitely easier/less labor to remove before grouting. p.p.s. If you do start over, you might want to indicate w/ an arrow on the back of each sheet of tile which way is "up". Although I still don't think that is your responsibility to take care of that, it might facilitate a faster, more successful install ;-)

It was a great day. steph2000, thanks so much! i think you are right re: the semi-flush. right now I am going to take a breather until the hood is ready. I pushed really hard to get this done for the tour today -- there were so many people here this week. will be nice to take a little break. deedles, I purchased the wolf 20" riser with shelf for behind the range. it isn't up yet. the guys were having trouble sliding the range out. the riser has to attach to the back of the range (i would have assumed it could just attach to the wall) and so the range has to slide out. The marble countertops are very tight to the range with really no gap at all so it was difficult for them and they were rushing so much to get so many things done that I suggested we address it later when they can slow down a little (I was a little afraid of them damaging the doors on my range ... they were pullling on them trying to slide it out and that was definitely not okay with me!).
