I made him put it on so I could take pictures tonight since I'm not sure I will be able to take a few hours of leave tomorrow evening to be here when he goes to prom. I tried to swap with someone but no one would or could. He really needs someone to help him get dressed.

It took a few sets to get a good picture, he always seems to either smirk, make a face or today he had one squinty eye in 90% of the pictures. LOL! We are having trouble getting the tie right, it's a clip on and only tightens up so much, so I guess it will be a little too loose.

Then he got goofy and brought out his "007" sword/cane:

Thanks! Alex is based in Bangkok and the others bird all over the country, while I'm limited to my scooter and buses, but it was good to at least go that one time. I'll try some of the professional techniques on the local birds to see if I have any luck!

Julie - our favorite stock color is Brown Sugar. There seems to be just enough red to enhance redder decks without going 'orange' on blonder areas in the wood :) We do custom tint quite often though. It would even be easy for a homeowner to custom blend by purchasing gallons of different colors, ie, 2 brown sugar, 1 warm honey gold would yield a slightly lighter version of brown sugar where as 2 brown sugar, 1 western red would be a redder version of brown sugar :) Marty, we have experienced different longevities, primarily due to the exposure of the deck (the usual stuff) We're seeing just shy of a year on decks in full sun (not gray though, just a bit pale), more for decks with some protection. The idea is not to wait until the deck is bare naked looking to perform maintenance! We recommend our customers have us back on site at about the 9 month period to check it. At that time we can determine if we need to reapply a light coat or wait a bit longer. We have not experienced any buildup of these products. If properly maintained, re-application should always be easy. In the case of homeowners doing this you could potentially treat more often to suit your needs! I might caution on treating too often - I said we had not experienced any build up with this product but we've done all of the applications! I'm certain most products can be overapplied at some point causing a build-up if you're not careful. Celeste Here is a link that might be useful: Ask the Woodrich pros directly!

Oh, that is encouraging news! The little sweetheart is trying his best to be a good big brother. Xiola just had her checkup. She is at the 50th percentile in weight and appears to be normal in development. She'll have her developmental checkup in 6 months and they'll know more. Sometimes these kids that were born with problems stop their mental and other development around her age, but she seems to be progressing well. I don't know if I told you the story, but the other day my sister went out to eat with Xiola and her mom. She wasn't eating, and her grandma tried encouraging her to take a bite. She refused and said "No, grandma. I full of baloney" Then she reached over and rubbed grandma's tummy and said, "Grandma, you full of baloney too?". What a funny little character! Snuggles, kisses and prayers for our Alex and his little sister.

I know, Kat, some of them were telling me to call in sick. Yeah, I'm going to do that after I told everyone I wanted it off because of Alex's prom. Plus, I know how bad it is when everyone calls in and you're short. The charge nurse told me she would try and get me out of there by 4:00.

You must be so proud, but did you get a tear or two in your eye when you saw how handsome he looked in his tux? I sure hope you can get home in time to help him, but he'll do fine. Glad you got the pictures today, just in case. Keeping my fingers crossed that all your patients get to go home tomorrow morning :-)

I remembered you said he wasn't going with a girl, but I'll bet they will be waiting in line to straighten that tie for him.

I feel like I've "watched" Alex and Lauren grow up, and I have to repeat what the others have said. You have done a super job with them.

Alex is a handsome young man; not even a zit!

Not really Glenda, he's technically an adult and hardly ever goes anywhere so I didn't tell him he had to be home at a certain time. I just want him to have fun.

Susan, he got home the first time around 11:45 or so, I had just fallen asleep. He came home to change for bowling. After bowling they went to the girl's home who he asked to go with him to the prom (she said she couldn't afford to go) for smores, a bonfire and a movie. But apparently they were all too tired for the movie and it was too stormy for the bonfire so they all nearly fell asleep in front of their fireplace and ate smores. They finally decided to drive home before they got too tired to drive.

Oh, and they only spent an hour or two at the dance itself. He didn't really dance, said not very many were and the ones who did were more like grinding on each other than dancing. They had gone to the Cheesecake factory for dinner first. It's in Louisville and that's why he left early. He had fun, I'm so glad. He got home the last time at 3:48 am. I sleep on the loveseat so he woke me up when he came in and of course I looked right at the clock. lol.

I've been at work all day so only just now got the lowdown. ( :
