She's been squeezed by the Hug Monster! When you tell Grant to give a big hug, he squeezes tight (as you can see from the look on Camryn's face - poor thing looks like she's going to pop) and squishes up his face. It's so funny.

Jim- That is a crazy pic of that bee impaled on that cacti! Never seen anything like that. That philodendron looks like a split-leaf philodendron. I grew a couple last year, and found 2 more at Lowe's at the end of the season for $3 on clearance. Great price for such big plants. A word of advice, they do appreciate some shade, and can definitely tolerate it if you have a shady spot where you need to plant something. Your Nainital is getting huge! I just planted mine in the ground the other day. I hope mine grows as fast as yours. Your Washys look awesome! I can't wait to receive mine from the mail man LOL. I'll have to keep my eye out for that cultivar of hosta. It's always nice to have hardy plants that only look like tropicals without any special attention. One last thing I was thinking of...be careful when planting running bamboo. I was out in my yard yesterday and noticed bamboo popping up everywhere. It can and probably will become invasive, even in zones 5 and 6. Very hard to get rid of, if not impossible, once you have it. Everything looks awesome.

Camryn is really growing. I think I remember Grant's hair looking red in the pictures you posted. And like Grant, she's a really happy baby. Kaitlyn is a beauty--I think she looks somewhat like you--the eyes, I think.

Yep, It looks to be a Norway spruce (Picea abies). Perhaps a Picea abies 'Pendula' that was staked, then kept going up on it's own, or perhaps it's just a very nice pendulous seedling. I would lean more towards it being the cultivar 'Pendula' due to the location it is planted. I doubt that someone would plant the regular species that close to a fence between a pond. 'Pendula' would be a more popular choice for a pond setting like this.

That's what my DS just to beg me. He just needed to "whop" his little sister, just one time! LOL

They are both precious kids. I know that you are proud of them.

Didn't Ronnie Milsap record that sweet song called "Pure Love"? That's what my old memory is remembering tonight.

With those long legs, I'm thinking a model, athlete or dancer...a beauty for sure! :)
