There really isn't any such thing as a warm blue that I know of. And to me, it's the coolest color on the color wheel. It looks great with warm colors though, oranges, yellows and reds. Can you have the blue in the fabric color matched at the paint store? That may be your best bet.

Also, like the saying goes, pictures speak a 1000 words. Why not post a picture of the room and the fabric you like. I'm sure there will be lots of other suggestions if you do.

Any color can be warm or cool depending on the base.
A warm blue is what might be called Swedish blue or possibly cerulean.
It's a blue that has yellow undertones and not purplish undertones.

I always thought blues were too cool for me. Never liked them much. I did use one in my last house that for some reason felt warm to me - bungalow blue from lowes:

Sorry, but to me, yellow undertone or not, blues are a cool color. I've never seen a blue that read warm.

I agree that blues can tend warm. There's an F&B blue that I used once that was so perfect in warmth (I'm not a blue person either) and I'm racking my brain...let me think about it a moment.

I'm even to the point where I've painted my mudroom and my MBR a pale blue/ green called Woodlawn by Ace and I LOVE it! It took me many yrs. and many blues to find what was right for me.

Also - don't let advice direct you into something that may not work for you. There are lots of colors out there other than blue but sure doesn't hurt to test.

Check out Farrow & Ball "Borrowed Light" and Benjamin Moore "Woodlawn Blue". Both beautiful blues that are on the warm side.

Have you looked at BM Palladiam Blue? (sp?) I was considering blue and had large poster boards all over the house. I have oak woodwork and oak antiques and thought the color would work. Don't pay a lot of attention to the swatch, get a sample jar and paint a poster board. It looked way more blue on the board then the swatch.

I think with the colors you describe, a pale sky blue with a lot of green in it would be lovely. There is a Duron color called "window pane" - #6210 on their older fan deck - I have used it in several places for other people, and it is a lovely atmospheric watery color that doesn't scream "blue!" - and looks wonderful with cream and peach and buff and tan.

I recently used it everywhere in a small west-facing high-rise apartment with a wheat-colored wool sisal carpet, drapery material in peachy-pink cabbage rose-patterned linen with dull olive, taupe, and blue-gray tones on a cream background, a cream slipcovered loveseat, and a taupe, dirty gold and cream silk plaid covered side chair. The client has several pieces of antique furniture in mid to dark tones, plus a Japanned table in black lacquer, and some simple cane accessories. The color created a perfect background, and the place looked fabulous (if I do say so myself!).
