dlenart blend ... I think it was copyrighted as the Whyte blend. We must have ordered the same day because out tags are identical except for the lot #'s off by one !!! My seed went down 8/21. Here are pics at 11 days. I have only been watering twice a day, 5 AM and in the afternoon. (Watering restrictions limit me to using my homemade inground system at night and hose end during the day). Temps here in NW Pennsylvania have been great (75 - low 80's), and I had some rain each of the first 5 days. Here is a quick rundown of my process. I killed grass, dethatched and removed waste, core areaed, added P and K based on PSU soil test, used Scott's starter fert. and topdressed with leaf compost from township. I was very nervous around day 7-8 with little action, so nervous that the DSU was actually comforting ME. Thanks to all of your advice I hope I am on my way to a beautiful lawn.

My garden has been neglected badly for the past few weeks because I have been busy digging and trasplanting and just planting new daylilies, ripping out of the beds some of the self seeders that got out of control i.e. lemon bergamot and simply love hibiscus. They're pretty but can take over if you aren't careful. Lynn: I do still have some things blooming but the strong winds we get here and the drought have taken a toll on a lot of things. The malope is an annual that I just love, it's supposed to be cherry colored but somehow I ended up with some white ones. Twrosz: I also love rubeckia for glorious fall colour. Beginning to think I like it more than echinacea, but I'll keep both. My favorite R. is Prairie Sun because I love the bright sunny colour. I have several others but they seem to always fade out or revert to something else. My next big job is to move a large peony and a sumac that the birds left in my flower bed. They also left a sunflower in my daylily bed. That one I'll leave until it flowers and I see if the seeds are worth saving. Otherwise I may just leave it for the jays. Marg

Wow, what beauties they are.I love that PAINTED MOON.And PARADISE is real pretty too. I lost mine last year, after I had it for over 30 yrs..That PEER GYNT is very pretty, too,have never heard of it before.POP WARNER is a dream.It looks a lot like MOONSTONE, my favorite rose. PURE POETRY is really a pretty one, too..Some of my roses are leaving out now,and others are slower and just has some swollen nodes on them, getting ready to leave out. Jean

Thanks everyone. Debra, the last one is Tune the Harp. Sherry: many of my daylilies have much more color this year. I don't really know why. Could be the weather or perhaps the fact that for 3 years now I've used pine needles for mulch, and it is changing the soil to be more like Celeste's!
