Comments (28)Looking out my kitchen window is a stucco house similar to yours. If you were looking for the trim to be darker than the body then consider something opposite of what you currently have. The body of the home in the color of your trim and the trim in the body? Does that make sense? The house I am speaking of that I can see out my window has a bone color on the body and a darker tan on the trim. The trim color could be almost like Lindy's 15:43 house above, with a lighter body. ....OR I can crawl back under my rock :)...See More? for nomorebluekitchen (or anyone else) re: ming green tile
Comments (6)Hey there. The Biltmore from the Tile Shop is similar to my backsplash but the coloration was definitely stronger, more green than my ming green marble. In person, the ming green doesn't read as green, more grey, cream, even some blue, but also touches of green. But you don't look at it at first and think "that is a green backsplash", whereas the Biltmore to me was instantly a green. Same goes for the Ann Sacks - it is much darker in tone and more definitely green. My backsplash tile is also known as Jade - search for that and you'll find something closer to the color and tone I have. Mine was a closeout on ebay that was fantastically priced but has long since been sold out - great for me, but stinky for anyone else. I paid about $200 total for my backsplash including shipping :) Here is a link showing a jade mosaic tile (hope this works). http://www.mosaicoitaliano.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=40 Anita...See MoreIf you have Cream/Beige/Charcoal Pavers...
Comments (1)Never mind. I already looked at samples first hand (I had planned to anyway, but was looking for advice). I decided to go with American Paver Systems (APS) coping in Cream color. Looks good. The Flagstone Paver (FP) coping in Sand was way too dark once seen in person. And the FP cream was a tad darker than APS' cream. Just sharing. -Gorilla...See MoreHas anyone used BM Gentle Cream (OC-96)?
Comments (10)Yes, Gentle Cream is significantly lighter than MT. I have been looking at pictures of really bright/sunny rooms that are painted a very light color and I'm liking that look. Very calm and soothing. Many of the other rooms near this room have color - green in kitchen, red in living room, gold in dining room. So, I wanted to go with something more neutral in this room. Trim will be painted BM Vanilla Ice Cream (a creamy white). Not too much contrast against the walls, but that is also what I am going for. Thanks, sayde. I did look at Stone House. I had helped a friend pick that color. It looks great in her house. Not so great in my house. And, I've been through many, many other BM colors. Eliminated them all for one reason or another -- too pink, too green, too yellow, too something. I don't have the luxury of saying it's just paint and I can redo it if I don't like it. This room is very large with catherdral ceilings and I cannot paint it myself. So, this is my one shot to get the color right, and it's very difficult....See Moredischnell
