We have a Hayward Colorlogic and we love it. It can be set to a number of solid colors or a few rotating color displays. You cycle through the choices by turning the switch on and off until you get the one you want. It will remember that one afterwards (IE, if you turn it off and then back on the next day, it'll go to the last one you had selected). As far as lighting levels, it depends on the color. If it's set on white it looks nearly the same as the 500w fixture we had before. If it's on a color, it's not as bright as white. Some of the colors provide more light than others (some like yellow are nearly as bright as white while others like dark blue are a lot darker). When it's set to a light show it's the same way, depending on what color it's cycling through the pool may be lit up well or may be darker. To me that's part of what makes the light show interesting though. Our pool is 16 x 32, I think if a pool is much larger than that it should really have 2 lights or it'll be dark at the end opposite of the light.

I think from your pool dimensions these colorlogics would work great.

You will love your lights. A pool that big will definitely need two lights. But make sure they are not pointing towards the house. It can be a bit nerve racking looking at the light all the time. My PB did a good job placing the lights on my pool to where there are no dead spots. Tagprod's pictures are dead on. They look really good when they are changing fast. My kids love it when it goes to red real quick. But if you have a dark bottom, you are not going to get the same effect as with a white bottom. That's what stopped me from getting a dark pool bottom.

I am in Houston in the Tomball area. We have found a PB "The Pool Man Custom Pools". We started our pool on Friday, May 9th. Some of the plumbing went in today, and the electrical crew is scheduled for Thursday (weather permitting). I have not posted pictures because I have been unsuccessful with this process. COMPLICATED!

I saw you were having problems with pics. In the picture below, underneath the pool sketch are 4 boxes with different codes. For this board you want to click on "HTML CODE" which should automatically copy to your clipboard. Then paste it (control V) into your message.

In regards to posting pictures, please note that you will only see the HTML Code in your message when you type it, the picture will not pop up until you preview or post your picture.

LED lights are lots of fun to have and are the best energy savers. The Hayward ColorLogic is a good choice as is the Pentair IntelliBrite. I have built pools with both of those. I like the Pentair version best; it is ECO Friendly with over 30,000 hours of operation compared to only 5,000 hours for a traditional incandescent bulb. I really try to encourage my customers to upgrade to it, because the people who do get it love it so much. One word of caution...if you are looking for a pure white light, then don't go with a LED light. The "white" in LED is a little yellowish.

We have the Hayward Colorlogic and we love it! I have regular white aggregate plaster. My cousin, who got expensive Pebbletec and a white light, regrets not getting the LED because while her water color is pretty during the day, it is BORING at night! She's jealous!

Speaking of pictures - why can't I see ANY of the pictures on this site??

Tell your cousin it is relatively easy to replace a white incandescent with an LED light assuming she has a standard light niche. It does require pulling wiring, but it's not a big deal. I did mine myself.

Not sure why you can't see the pics unless it's some kind of blocker you have on your computer.

Did you end up putting the LED's in? I would love to see pics of your pool with them on if you did. And if so, which one's did you end up going with?

Um, don't you have to like drain the pool to change the light? She has a HUGE pool.

I guess you have to have a really good camera to take pictures of your pool at night. Every time I have tried to take pictures of my colored lights, it comes out all blurry because there is not enough light. Any suggestions? I am using an HP digital camera.
