New Pool build in Cali

We started researching pool builders and getting bids this past summer. By the late fall we had picked our PB out of a total of 7 PBs. I've learned so much from this website and have truely enjoyed everyones pool builds. I am now excited to share ours:

45x18 rectangular shotcrete pool

810 sq ft surface area, 126 peri, 34,000 gallons

3'3" to 9" diving pool

6'6" x 6'6'" baja with 12" water depth

2 wok pots / fire/water, still working on specifics

Intelliflo VF-3050

booster pump for extra spa jets, not sure which type

Clean and Clear 420 cartridge

Intellitouch i5+3 control

Kreepy Krauly

auto safety cover with sub-deck track with walk on pour lid

2 led color changing lights

auto fill

Ocean blue pebblesheen with extra shimmering sea

8'x8' square spa with 6' long, 12" spillway into pool

64 sq ft, 32 peri, 1000 gallon

elevated 12" above pool

LED color changing light

15 jets, 7 on main pump 8 on booster

saftey cover

2 ft raised firepit

appox 2500 sq ft gold travertine french pattern for deck

beige 12x24 travertine for coping and steps up to spa level

waterline tile is emperia aurora

6ft concrete panel fence enclosing at least half of our lot

Jan 5 Permits obtained

Jan 8 Excavation

Jan 13-16 Rebar and plumbing

Jan 20 inspection

Jan 21 Shotcrete

oh yeah, I forgot we are also installing 2 underwater speakers by clark synthesis, one at each end. The 2 lights are on the side by the house so they will shine away from the house.

Thank you, we have belabored every single detail as, I am sure, everyone does. No, we still have the deck to be laid, sprinkler re-route, cleanup and then plaster last. I am right outside of Dallas, so we are still having spring showers and it might be a bit. Plus, the travertine we ordered for the deck is honed and the decking place only carries tumbled, so I am not sure how we figure that out.

Hi gang: Well I have been out of town for a few days and believe it or not between the rain and being out of town, I have yet to take my first swim. The kids on the other hand have to be extracted with great force at the end of the day. My sons party went as planned, one short rain shower, but otherwise great. The water is now fairly balanced, they started the polaris (thank goodness..the dust was insane!), they plan on starting up the salt system in about a week. birdbath, I see you have been absent also....must be living in that water....thank you for the compliment, but yours is still the coolest pool I have ever seen. Moo....thanks....we are planning to build up the area behind the waterfall, make it into a berm with plantings and lots of color. We are also going to use river stones in that area....and behind that will be the completed extension of the wall. Should be starting that in the next 2-3 weeks. Smb....agreed our colors do look alike, it still amazes me how it changes throughout the day. I think we ended up somewhere between midnight blue and tahoe blue. Thank you, love yours also...are you getting to swim or does it still belong exclusively to the puppy ;) Well, I have the weekend off...so I think today will be first swim...its 89 out there and the water has warmed up to about 82....here are the pics in full sunlight for Birdbath. oops...heres the waterfall on....

Sorry Frank, just seeing your question now. This is our 5th summer and still no issues or fading of liner. JC, best of luck with your build! You made the right decision in choosing SW as your builder. You basically just get to sit back and watch the magic. The self cleaning system is a must and you will never regret that expense... Can't wait to see the finished product...
