Our pumps are running and we should be swimming tomorrow yahoo!! Titan should be onsite next week to highlight and seal our stamped concrete. Waterford Pools is our pool company and the quality of work has been exceptional. Milestones are not always met on time but sometimes there is no way to control that. When the pool company (Ocean Quest) submitted the plans to the Hidden Glen HOA for approval, two committee members came over to look at the backyard to make sure that the project wouldn't create run off into neighboring yards. We had approval from them in about three days, so they were very quick about it. We're not in a MUD, and city inspectors are a one day turn around. The hoe ram is really efficient in busting the limestone. He can bust and remove it faster than the trucking company can haul it off. Looks great! Love the beach entry, I understand people's concerns but I just wanted it darn it. :) I'm in N. TX also. We got plaster today so I have no idea what I'm in for as for bird poop, but I'm so glad we did the beach entry. :) I love your spill way. Oooooooooh the things I'd do differently. Wish I had that spillway! Your tile and stone looks great. We didn't even consider boulders, wish I had! You got a heck of a deal, my price for a smaller pool, much less decking, with no slide came it at 45k. Granted, that did include a 4k 80' retaining wall on the side of the house that we'll never see, but still, you got a GOOD price. I'm jealous! Can't wait to see your progress. Blue Granite PS is one of my favorites from pics I've seen here. Our PB does stonescapes (bummer......) and I went out on a LIMB and did mauve, Ahhhhhh, the horror! :):):) I think blue granite would be a wonderful choice.

Hey Janet - BEAUTIFUL pool. I'm glad to see it came in just right for you guys. I'm also in Cypress. Actually, our home is up closer to Tomball (2920 and Cypress Rosehill area), but my law firm is near Jones and Grant. I just had my FIRST meeting with a PB tonight, and we're excited, but COMPLETELY overwhelmed. Do you mind giving me the full name of your PB? If you had a really good experience, I'd love to speak to them and get a bid. I'd to get at least 4 or 5 bids before I pick a PB. My wife and I have an interesting situation in that we have a LOT of room in the back yard (we are on 4/5 acre lot in the forest), but we have two massive trees that we want to work around AND build an appx 800 sq foot outdoor living room/kitchen/bar. We need JUST the right PB to make our pool integrate with our house, our lot, and our forest. We really want to do this right, and it looks like your PB did a great job! (Although I'm very impressed at your design work!)
