Here are a couple photos of the SAm and SAl lights at night: They started it up yesterday and we've been brushing the WetEdge twice a day. I woke up this morning to find the filter pressure already 10 psi over backwash pressure. So I learned how to backwash today. Took like 5 minutes. All that plaster dust really gunked up the filter. It seems to be holding at a lower pressure today. Well, that's all folks. 18 days from dig to turn on. And all workmanship is of high quality. The stone sub is coming back tomorrow to add more stone to the rock beam, because the builder wasn't satisfied with the look. Other than that, we're good to go. I got in for about 30 minutes yesterday. It's still pretty chilly, but it gave me a good chance to put on some goggles to do an underwater inspection. Everything looks good. Now comes Pool School and learning how properly maintain it.

yesapool, thanks for the compliment. I am still working on my landscaping. It is always a work in progress for me. It seems like every spring I find myself back out either replacing things that might have grown too large, or just adding more. This time of year though its all I can do just to maintain what I have. Its soooo hot here in Louisiana. Good luck with your landscaping, and please post some photos.

Thanks, Beachdiva :) Now that the wall is up I feel better about the planting space. I was worried we wouldn't even have 2 ft. but we have almost 2.5 behind the big wall and more behind the lower ones. The completion date on the contract says Aug. 31, but that was upon excavation, which we didn't do for a couple weeks after signing. Now I've hit a slight snag with the tile that goes in those shadow boxes and it may cause a delay. I'm not worried though and would rather it be right. Then there's my deck. *sigh* We had picked out those concrete pavers but the logistics are turning into a nightmare. Each one weighs almost 120lbs. and they all need pre-sealing..which we can't do here yet because it's over 100deg. I'm looking into Bomanite's new aggregate. It seems you can now have exposed aggregate over an existing slab with only a 3/8" rise. Waiting to hear back from installer. They're doing some waterproofing now. I'm leaving town Thursday and left instructions no tile is to be installed until I get back on Monday. I like to supervise :) Will post more pics at next stage.
