Ipe sanded and stained some boards but sheen doesn't match rest

I had a few Ipe boards on my porch that needed to be sanded then stained. They came out looking nice but what I notice is when you look across at an angle you can see the original boards (which I also put another coat of stain on same time I did the sanded boards) look really shiny but the newly sanded ones look dull re: sheen.

I now have two coats of stain on the sanded boards and the sheen is still a lot different from the other boards.

The other boards are about 5 years old and I stain them Spring and Fall each year so they've had quite a bit of stain on them over the years.

What my question is, is it just going to take time for the newly sanded/stained boards to develop a sheen like the older boards have?
