I would be more inclined to buy a quillow. I bought one for my granddaughter and she loves it... she uses it as a pillow in the car and on her bed... and then opens it up to a quilt when she needs a blanket. Have you seen them?

I'm sorry Red but I'm going to have to back out of this one. I have to make a quilt for my father, we talked tonight and he has agreed to pay for part of the girls music lessons and in return I am making him a scrap quilt out of only things I have in the house (no buying anything for this one.) He is a blessing for us. But that leaves me no extra time as I would like to have this quilt done by the time he comes up from NC for Thanksgiving. So sorry to have to pull out as not many have signed up. Vicky

hello well I will do my best. 1. choose a fabric for outside and one for inside. 2. cut them to the size I want the card, and cut a piece of feusable web the same size. can use fiable batting if you want batting, but cut 2 pieces of batting(one front one back) or the card wont fold. and cottin not polly batting. 3. fuse the three layers together. 4. fold in half and press the fold rilly good. 5. I fussy cut some nice pieces from matching fabric fuse them on and do some fancy stitching, embelish with ribbon, lace, buttons, beads, glitter, what ever you like. you can fuse a piece of light solid or muslin for writing on the inside of the card but I usualy do the writing on some card stock and just place it in, that way the card can be used again by the reipient. Yes, I hope to get a little in. It's not been for lack of time, but after completing the log cabin top in record time, I wanted to get back into the mood before I start the finish work. I have learnt over a lifetime not to sew (if you ca help it) when you are not in the mood, or you spend the day clinging to a seam ripper. I am not planning on any quilted Christmas gifts, so there aren't any time frames for completion on my quilt projects, other than my own gratification and the fact I am itching to start a new top and I won't until I get this one finished.
