I went to the same school for all 12 years, too. My school was Geneva High School. Many of us were there for all 12 years. I had 55 in my graduating class. Infact, our class was the last graduating class from the school. We consolidated with another small town school. My school now some 31 years later is a middle school.

My kids are going from elementary school to middle school and on to high school with all their class mates. The three schools are with in a mile of each other, I'd say they have gone or will go 14 years with their class. (two years pre-school)

I moved with my military family. Had several schools.

It seems like my mom and dad moved whenever the rent came due. I know that's exaggerating some, but we moved very often. I went to 9 different schools. I went to three of those more than one time over the years.

I went all 12 years to the same school and so did my 3 sons. I'm still close friends to many of my classmates from those school years.

I went to elementary, middle school and high school, through the regular path of my school system.

Norfork Schools; all 12 years. Graduated one of 17 students in the Class of 1974. 14 or so of us had been together since the first grade.

All 12 years to the same little school shared by several towns. I graduated one of about 74 students in 1977.

I went all 12 years to the same school building and many of the same kids that were in first grade with me, graduated with me. In my senior year, my school merged with another area school and commencement included all the kids from the new school for the first time. This year is our 50th reunion...a website has been set up for us all to join in on the preperation fun. For some reason that I don't understand, the people from the school we merged with have shown little interest. But the rest of us are having a great time getting to know each other again.

I went from K-12 with the same group of kids more or less. Actually, 3 of us were in the same classes all 13 grades. One of those is a pharmacist now, the other is doing life in prison.

Not me. I went to 7 schools by the 9th grade, then finished at that last school. All different school districts, that does not count just moving from a jr to a high school. No, we weren't military. Just frequent job transfers. Once we were in high school, my dad turned down transfers. It was all in Ohio, though. It really didn't bother me. My family was otherwise very stable, the routines of the house remained, so it was not stressful. Actually, my mom got pretty good at it. ;o)

I attended one school K-6; another 7 & 8; a third (serving a whole township) 9-12. My senior year in HS we were on split shifts while the township built a second HS. My HS graduating class was nearly 1,000.

I've found that for both my DH and for me, it is our grammar school classmates we are most interested in seeing. When his HS has a reunion, each grammar school poses for a separate class photo. I think of my grammar school classmates as almost an extended family, whereas in that huge, overcrowded HS I felt lost amongst strangers.

I attended a one room country school for Kindergarten through 6th grade then went to town for jr and sr high school. The country school was closed that year.

That is nice chisue that you are close to your grammar school classmates. I keep in touch with several of the gals from my class. One gal and I rode the same bus for 12 years, share the same birthdate, and of course graduated at the same time. We email very often.

Not the same school, but 3 different schools in the same town (elementary, junior high & high school). I graduated with a few that went all the way with me as well. There were 3 elementary schools in my town and once we got to junior high we all went together.

I too went to the same school district for all 12 years. We were a very small school that included two towns. There were only one class per grade with a few exceptions from year to year. We had a very close class and we like to get together every 5 years for reunions.

I did. Started first grade in 1949, graduated in '61, all same building, good old Mannington High.

Same school K-12. I graduated in a class of 66. I bet 50 of us were in kindergarten together. Some of my kids had the same teachers that I had. There's a scary thought.

Very similar to you, Marilyn Sue. I went to the same school...all in the same building until my senior year and then they built a new high school, but on the same campus. There were 22 in my graduating class, and I started 1st grade with about 12 of them. We didn't have kindergarten.

5 different schools, three different cities, 12 years

Same school - grades 1-12. (No kindergarten waaaay back then! LOL) Class of '67, Des Arc High School, 73 graduates.

Same town, but different schools for kindergarten, elementary, junior high and high school.

Went to 4 schools. First grade through 6th in the same school in DC. Then we moved to Virginia where the school system was different. Went to 7th grade as still Elementary, making High School end with 11 years. After two years of High School in that county, we moved right across the county line to a different system where your Senior year was 12th grade. Anyhow I graduated in 1942 with the 12th graders, but only had 11 years of school.

Most of the kids I graduated with had gone through from 1st grade together, and friendships were already made. I found it a little hard because of that, but they were all friendly and I managed to fit in.

There were 312 in my class of 1942. We had reunions every year until last year.

One girl had gone the whole 12 years without ever missing a day!

Not me. I spent my first 8 years in a one room country grade school followed by 4 years at the community high school. I and my sister walked 2 miles to grade school. Attendance at high school required a school bus trip into town. Town was 10 miles away, but the bus trip was much longer because it gathered students over a goodly sized area. The average student body for high school was 250 students; There were 45 in my graduation class and about 15 of these were band members.

I went to the same school from first through eighth grade. Then our town and the one next to us built a high school together. I went there from grade nine through twelve when I graduated. When I started at the new high school I pretty much stayed with the same friends I had had at the other school. I was pretty shy back then and didn't make friends very easily.

I went to the same school for Kindergarten to Grade 9. Then high school for Grades 10 and 11 (we are talking a long time ago here when high school was only two years!)

The first school was an all-girls school and high school was co-ed. In Grade 10 and 11 there were only 6 girls in my class and all the rest boys. I found that very intimidating and I really did not enjoy my high school days. I found it very lonely as all of my friends were in other classes and I could only see them at lunchtime.

I was in the same district all 12 years + kindergarten. We had K-6 in one building, 6-7 in another, then 8-12 in the other.

I went to the same school district K-12.

The school I went to had 1-6 grades,I went there and graduated [still have my little white dress.Than across the railroad there were grades 7-12.I went there graduated with Honors.They were named the same school but just one was called grammar school and than high school.I stayed in touch with several and one girl I went to school we emailed back and forth.Her husband died of a heart problem,around the same age of her.After that we remained in touch till one day I did not hear from her after I emailed her.Well I always read the news from the town I went to school,still wandering why she had not emailed me back.I read the death announcments,and there was her death announcments.I was in shock,also so so sadden.I have tried and tried to find out what happen to her.Still to this day I still have her email address in my address book on my computer.Still it hurts me.She died around one year after her husband died.

Tami ohio, My Walnut Grove was in Indiana. They tore it down some years back. It was still a pretty nice building when they did. It was a new building when I first started going to it in the early forties. It wasn't big enough and not what they needed I guess for the kids now a days. I have a brick from it somewhere. My Mother worked as a cook from the time I was in the second grade and on beyond after I graduated from there. She was able to go to work to and from on our school bus with my sister and me. I really liked the cafeteria food they had and when I was in Jr. high I worked in the cafeteria doing dishes during the lunch time. We would eat in a hurry. We worked and got our lunch free. When I was older for a couple of years I worked for my lunch, but was in charge of counting up all the lunch money, rolling the coins and totaling up what there was. Oh, that was 57 years ago when that ended. I have 3 of the recipes the cafeteria used to use, chocolate pudding, American Spaghetti, and their peanut butter cookies.

My Dad was in the television business, in the early days and our school bought a television from him to have in our study hall for certain times to watch. I can remember going with him on the Saturday to deliver it and help him put the antenna up on the roof. We went through an attic door if I remember right to get onto the roof.

Our last day of school was only to get our report cards and you just went there and then could go home. One of the years I rode my pony there and got mine. That was so much fun. I think it might have been about 6 miles away. I am not sure.
