They are good. Had some earlier in the season. Now I'm ready for tomatoes and corn on the cob!!

Aren't they good, DH isn't much for oranges but he will eat about three a day of those. I've bought most of them at Costco I think, but locally too so I can keep them in the house all the time while still available.

I picked up some groceries for my mother when in her town on Easter, included 5#s of the cuties, she likes them too :)

Who says Cuties are made for kids....

We seem to get a good batch, then got a big bag at Costco that we just so so!

teresave, I had looked them up on their website and apparently they are two different varieties depending on which month it is. Maybe you got a bag as the peak for one was coming to an end - I don't remember now which two are sold under the name Cutie. We've been buying them continuously since about October and it seems we too got one bag closer to or not long after the holidays that was OK, but not quite as good. But just the one, all the others have been consistent.

I need to make a Cutie run. Can't tell you how much I like them! Some that I got this year were labeled Mandarins. I think they came fom Mexico. I love Cuties and bananas for the same reasons.....great taste, very portable, easy to open, no mess. Aren't we lucky to have such goodies available?

I was really disappointed with the last batch I bought they were not good. Not very sweet at all and chewy. I have not bought any since.

A coincidence.

I have seen ads for Cuties for a good while and have been tempted by them, but never bought any.

For some reason, any citrus I eat, or attempt to eat, causes my jaws to "clinch" and none of them ever taste sweet to me. I didn't want to buy a 5 pound box, only to not like them. This week at Kroger, with the 5 pound boxes, they also had 3 pound bags which were labeled Mandarins, and I was told they are the same, and I bought a bag of them. On the bag it says Premium California. I would have thought Florida.
I've bought many canned Mandarin oranges for the "pig picking cake" and for salads.

Unfortunately these I bought are not very tasty; in fact they seemed dry to me, not really juicy, and not at all sweet. I Googled to see what I had bought.

And after reading the above posts, I see what probably explains why they are not the best. Live and learn. I'll give them to my DD when she comes out on Sunday. If she doesn't like them, she will cut them up for the birds. They won't be wasted.

I always serve fresh fruit with dinner so he gets more then.
