She is pink! I wondered about the name, thought she was naked after the singer. (Your Pink is a lot cuter than the other Pink!). She is darling. Beagles, very funny post about dog rules. Our dog rules are, Dogs Rule! We have three very different dogs with different personalities and needs.....all were rescued. The largest one is about 22 lbs, Mr. Fluffy, the sweetest, kindest dog ever. We also have a crazy peppy spunky dog and a recent arrival not-quite-sure-of-anything dog who was removed from an abusive home and tries to bite any man with facial hair :-( We think he is going to need a year or so of unconditional love to get over his frightful beginning. Thankful for all dog lovers and rescuers....dogs are God's answer to loneliness, horrid relatives, challenging adolescents, and exhausting coworkers!

I have spoken to elderly women to not leave their purses in the cart as they will steal your purse and they immediately thank me and grab their purse to them. Watch out too as they can slice the bottom of your purse thinking you are safe. I heard that they watch you put your purse in your trunk, have a friend that does that all the time. If I had to go to park or somewhere, I would only take my wallet and put it in my pocket, that is why I like pockets on everything I wear so I could pop them in and so if need to go to store or stop somewhere have money and card on me to use. Also all the ones that leave their cell phones, lap tops and other valuables in car and wonder why they got broke in. Anything including change they will break in your vehicle and take. And putting your purse way back in the tunk and putting something over it won't work, if they break in they will go at everything and find it. also heard that most women put their purses in their kitchen when they come through the door and keys too and if they are outside in the backyard, someone will come in and find those and steal not only your purse but your car too. Also people are still not locking their vehicles, lock them up at all times no matter if you run in and run out, YOu could get delayed and time goes by that someone could have watched you, with all the remote keys they can tell by watching if you clicked it locked or not. I had always thought those in chair or scooter hanging it in the back was a calling card to steal the purse and nothing they could do about it as they probably wouldn't even know until they go for it. Or the ones that have baskets in front, same thing grab it so fast and run like crazy and its gone. Warning, don't leave windows down in car as I had looked after my two nephews on time years ago and they had a friend over who came with us to bank and we all got out and I did the instanbank and suddnely the friend had zipped ahead and he could put his arm in the window and unlock the door. I couldn't believe it as the window was not down that far either and he could put his arm in it. So, be careful about that too. Just try not to carry anything more that you need in your purse. They do tell you not to take valuables traveling as they can get stolen and absolutely no money left or your passport or birth certificate or tickets, have them locked up in hotel safe. Wear money belts. I learned a hard way you can't trust anyone, I worked in a day care waiting for the last kids to be picked up and they came and I put my purse down for some reason instead of taking it with me to click out as I always did and came back and just like that gone. I had to call home and police as keys, and everything gone. And then report it next day to the head person and they questioned who they were, didn't know them except knew that one boy due to his class he went too was by the toddler room I worked in and his dad who was always late in picking him up. But didn't know the other parents or kids but could you point them out, yes, I could and went to classrooms and pointed them out and the mom worked in a bank and don't know where the guy worked, they were living together, Found out their house was on the way home and next thing I knew the mom got fired from her bank job and the house was up for sale. They moved I believe to Ontario, nice to do in front of their kids. It was right before christmas and had all my christmas money to go and buy gifts, I didn't get anything back either, then also next day called and called before got through to cancel out cards, they were stolen and yes, police was called about it. Next spring I get this phone call saying found your purse as they threw it in this huge snow bank by church across parking lot and the sisters found it. I never could use that purse again, its horrible having it stolen but when parents do with their kids right there, wow.

Holy cow, I'm so thankful you're okay! I agree with the poster that said to check around the neighborhoods, to see if you're stuff is pitched somewhere. You're right, the joke's on him. We had motion detector lighting installed 12 years ago. My husband heard noises outside, picked up his rifle and went outside - scared two teenaged girls who had decided to TP (etc) our yard. Despite his leg in a cast, he "chased" them up the street and watched what house they went into. He came inside, got me out of bed and told me what happened. I dressed and together, the two of us went up the street (him on crutches!) to the house - I knew the mom, she was a Girl Scout mom. The parents answered the door, we explained why we were there, the girls were called down. The next day, the two girls came down to the house, cleaned the entire yard for us, and later on, brought us a plate of cookies in apology. One question I asked the girls, "Why did you pick on OUR house?" The one said, "It was the darkest outside." We got motion detector lights that year. DonnaR/CA

We had a bad Airbnb experience last summer and despite previous excellent experiences,mI'm reluctant to use them again now. My parents were visiting when we lived in CA and our house there was small, so I found an Airbnb a few blocks from us. None of the airbnbs near us had more than about five to seven reviews. First one I chose, the owner agreed to rent to us about two months before their visit then backed out about two weeks before they came. Second one had just one bathroom and the toilet clogged the first time my dad used it. My eighty year old mother managed to shut it off. They couldn't get it unclogged so they called me. I called the owner who was very unhelpful. I tried for an hour to fix the toilet, all the while keeping the owner up to date. He authorized us to use some old towels to clean the bathroom floor. The owner continually refused to take any action to fix the toilet. Eventually I told the owner I was taking my parents to my home for the night because the house wasn't inhabitable with no working toilet. I asked him to notify me when he was able to get the toilet working. He demanded that I wash the old towels we had used even though the washer and dryer in the Airbnb house were in a locked off part of the house. So I took them to my house and washed them in my machines. He notified me that the toilet was working but at that point it was ten o'clock after a long day and my parents had gone to bed in my bedroom. When I asked for a refund for that night, the owner was very very nasty in response. So I asked him to not contact me again (and blocked his number in my phine--he was that nasty) and appealed to Airbnb. They opened a case, but did nothing until I contacted AmEx and asked for them to reverse the charges for that night. At that point, Airbnb refunded the money. If this had been a hotel, they would have just moved my parents to another room or sent maintenance to fix the problem. With Airbnb there really weren't any good remedies. If I had not lived in town, my parents would have had to either stay with no toilet overnight or scramble to find a hotel room and pay for it. After that, I feel like there's a potential to end up in an uninhabitable house with few good options. So I haven't done Airbnb again. I'm not saying I wouldn't, but I'd think carefully about how likely the owner was to take care of any problems and what my options would be if he or she didn't.
