I'm in Montreal Canada, swimming season is typically from May to late September. The pool i sbeing built for a family of 6 + lots of friends and family.

Ive gone for quotes from many of the pool companies and they all seem to offer the same equipment, for filter and pumps it's always Hayward or Jacuzzi, I always here about Intelliflo over here.

Here are the aprox specs of my pool.

18 x 36 or 20 x 40 depending on what we can fit.

- I was told I should go for 8 feet rather than 6 feet drop in type steps.

- The shallow end would be 3.5 feet and the deep end would b 8 feet.

- One Skimmer

- Two wall lights

- 2 returns jets on the wall and two on the stairs

- 2 Drains to avoid as a safety precaution for people getting stuck on drains

- Filter (not sure what kind, a hayward or Jacuzzi)

- 3 HP pump, Hayward or Jacuzzi.

- French Drain

- Stainless steel ladder which is not supposed to rust.

- 30mm liner.

I'm going to have uni-stone placed above lowered concrete so that the uni=stone is flush with the pool, on my old pool from my last house we had tons of repairs on an old pool and the concrete was replaced so many times that it looked horrible, I want the uni-stone so that if a repair is ever needed, you can just remove the uni-stone an dplace it back again and it will look the same.

1. What Filter would you recommend for this.

2. What pump would you recommend

3. Which Salt water system

4. Which brand Heat pump and what size BTU.

5. Which cleaning robot, I would prefer one I didn't have to connect to tubing, just something I can throw in without work.

6. Which Skimmer to buy

7. Which return jets

8. Which lights

9. Which steps to buy

  1. Anything else I should consider?

Sorry I know it's a lot of questions, but there are so many experts here and I was hoping someone can save me from making any mistakes.
