Hi Enjoying spring. I think we were probably posting about DWTS at the same time. As they say....great minds, blah blah, blah. LOL. To me it is obviously fixed, and I will probably tune in a little to see some of the dancing, but i will not follow the show to the end to see the fixed 'winner'. It seems these "reality" show are totally scripted or fixed by editing, and I for one will not be taken in again. As it shows, I'm pi$$ed and feel like a fool for watching thinking I am truly watching a contest. Dottie

I read online that, women are voting for Kate because she's the one who represents THEM! Some of that, is the fact that she's not a dancer, etc. I think people resent having such good performers on there to compete.... like Nicole, for instance.

Of course it's fixed and scripted. They do what they feel will get good ratings. I don't suspect that the dancers/"contestants" are told to dance well or not, but how they're selected for staying or being booted certainly is.

That said, regardless of whether I can dance or sing or play an intrument or not, I can still judge whether someone else can or not. That said, I think that Kate has done a great job of learning to dance; she's not a dancer and never professed to be. She's sure doing better than I feel I would; that takes a lot of work (and believe me, I'm not saying I'm a Kate fan in any way).

It's Pam Anderson's personality that drives me the most crazy. What a whore she's looking like. Can anyone possibly think that's sexy? Who knows - maybe that's scripted, too.

I think she's kept there (either by voters or by it being rigged) because they want to see what the trainwreck does next. Her attitude makes for good tv.

Pam's personality outside of the "role" she's playing seems very nice. I've seen her in alot of interviews but when she starts with that sex kitten role, she's so annoying. She is a good dancer though.

I have seen Pam in several interviews, she comes across as very intelligent and down to earth. She's playing on role on DWTS that many expect from her.

While I am not a fan of hers, I thought Kate improved this week. This show would be a good venue for her to work on her not so great image. I hope she takes the opportunity.

This is the first season that I have not watched DWTS. I just haven't been able to get into the contestants and the personalities this year. This is supposed to be about a dancing competition not a custody case. In years past, you could sense a real sense of competition and a desire to win on dancing merits.

IMHO, Kate dances like she has a board fastened to her back. She's so darned stiff! I really thought she'd be voted off--or so I HOPED.

I'd never seen Pamela Anderson before except in photos at the supermarket checkout. Thought she was sleezy to say the least, but since I've watched the show, I kinda like her. At least she can bend her body.

I don't think I have a favorite this year for the first time. Nobody's really doing that well--yeah, like I could ;-)

lol Patti. To me it doesn't seem like they're dancing to the music. Nothing syncs, except the endings.

I only wish Kate was on with her original haircut. It's like I'm watching a totally different person and it's hard for me to relate her to her known personality. Mind you I haven't seen her reactions to the judges, that they talk about.

It's actually illegal to "fix" the voting results. The FCC is quite strict. But, yes, surely they edit things for dramatic content, LOL.

Kate has a huge fan base, whether she deserves it or not. She's a terrible dancer, and she's not a performer, and I'd rather she were gone. But if people vote for her, she stays.

I found it interesting a few years ago to read that all these REALITY shows - which I like - such as American Idol and Survivor, etc, are NOT classified as a "game" because after the scandals of the 60's on game shows, there are serious laws against "fixing" them. Most of these shows have disclaimers that scroll by very fast at the end and basically say the producers have a hand in choosing the "winners". Before I read this, I used to vote on American Idol, but don't bother anymore.

When this show first started it was the only "reality" type of show I watched and I really enjoyed it then. Now it is so overdone I seldom watch. When they started all the silly games and such it just took away from the people actually learning to dance. I did manage for the first time this season to stay awake and saw a bit of it the other night...then I fell asleep...guess that was my answer as to if it was worth watching!

I just wonder who really likes Kate. Absolutely no one I know and everywhere I read people are saying ..why is she still there. I like Pam. I think she's cheap looking and don't like her sexy routine but I like her when she tones that part down. She has done so much for the welfare of animals in her life, she is to be admired . Plus I think she's good. Basically I like everyone but Kate. Really dislike everything about that woman. Has nothing to do with her horrific dancing. Her brother testified in court today around here that she faked Xmas for her kids. Told them it was Xmas day so they could film them opening their gifts and have the spontaneity. Wonder why no family member speaks to her.
