Full Ipe Deck or combo of Ipe/PT/Cedar?

Hello,

My new home is nearing completion and deck construction will begin soon. We would like to use Ipe for the entire structure but our builder also mentioned that we could use pressure treated pine or cedar for the support structure (posts, joists, ?) and Ipe on the decking, railing, etc. to save money. He also mentioned that Ipe posts are only available in 4x4 and he would prefer using 6x6 posts. Is it common to use PT or cedar for the support structure on an Ipe deck?

The deck will be elevated approximately 10-12 ft. There will be a 12x12 screened porch and a 12x12 area of open deck directly in front of the screened porch. An 8x41 walkway will run along the back of the house.

Costs aside, what would be the best material that would provide a solid structure, less maintenance, and be visually appealing? All Ipe or a combination?

Thanks
