It is the Pop it game...

You pop balloons instead of bubbles.

There are presents inside some of the balloons. You have to release all of them to win.

It's at Pogo. You'll probably have to sign up to play but it is free and a well know game site.

You can pay to play without ads..but the ads only last 30 seconds every 15 mins or so.

I used to play this for hours and hours a few years ago...then one day I got this message and haven't been able to play since! I loved it too!

Unable to Connect to Server
Explanation:
In order to play, the Java applet must open a network connection to our servers. The applet was unable to open this connection. This could occur if you are trying to connect through your company's firewall. Other things that might cause this error are that our servers may be temporarily down or that one of our other systems is currently unavailable. This problem might also be caused by Internet connectivity problems.

How to Fix the Problem:
There may be the possibility that one or more of our servers are not running. We typically try to keep the server downtime for maintenance and upgrades to under 15 minutes, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

If you don't think that it's a server issue, then there are several things that could have gone wrong:

The server just started up and is still initializing.
Try playing the game again to see if you are able to connect.

There is a network problem that is preventing you from reaching the game server.
If you know how to use traceroute, you can try to find where the problem in the network is. Otherwise, you should try to play again later. Sometimes, major routing points have glitches in their systems that cause intermittent outages. If the problem persists for 24 hours, you should contact your network administrator or ISP for support.

You are located behind a firewall or proxy server.
If you are located behind a firewall or proxy server, you will not be able to play the game. The firewall/proxy is preventing the applet from connecting with the server (that is what the firewall is designed to do). This is typically what happens if you try to play from work. All you can do in this case is to play the game from an account that is not behind the firewall (for example, a home account instead of a work account).

I remember writing a rant in 1998 when Paul's Glory was selected hosta of the year for 1999... to all and sundry... how in the heck could PG be hosta of the year when June is so obviously the better plant. Then Sagae got HOTY 2000 and I continued to be upset. The hosta growers finally caught up... June was HOTY in 2001. It didn't take long for June to race up to the top of the popularity poll... trading 1st and 2nd placed back and forth with Sagae. Interesting that with the many thousands of releases since, that those two "oldies" continue to be at the top of the popularity list. I've grown pretty much all the older members of the Halcyon family... so including the siblings and cousins, there is one... only one... that I've had no luck with... Silver Scrolls... dark green, thin white margin... should be as vigorous as Devon Green... just doesn't grow for me... like its permanently dwarfed. Quite the disappointment.

Dreamgoddess, they really are lovely! You're right, I do have one of the medieval-styled Victorian prints in my livingroom. The idea with the pillows is really good. It actually has me thinking that as a craft project, using scans of some of my Victorian postcards onto fabric and attaching them to a pillow would be wonderful gifts for my friends who like vintage. Wheels are turning... Oh no, more projects! Crafting... it's a gift, and a curse. :-) --Jenn
