We've owned a 36 inch dual fuel Legacy for three years, so a few hopefully helpful hints follow. We carefully measured the multifuncton oven and bought an old Wear-Ever aluminum roaster on E-bay. Fits perfectly with the handles folded and works great, just like when my grandmother used one. We've done a 22 pound turkey and it came out perfectly. The convection oven cuts turkey time down to 10 mins per pound and browns perfectly - or you can use the roaster cover and steam the turkey. The Wear-Ever looks like it was designed to fit in the oven. Used a ceramic wet saw to cut down a pizza stone to fit the oven. Pyrex 9/13 baking dishes work well in the right oven, but they're just enough too long that they only fit on the middle racks. (Guess the door flexes in a little) Could be some other brands of 9x13 are slightly shorter and might work better. Our only real issue has been a tendancy for one of the stovetop burners to go out after a few minutes. We suspect this is a problem with the safety thermocouple, but have just lived without that eye. We're now arranging for repairs, but there are few repair shops in the Milwaukee area with Aga experience. A word of advice: don't buy these stoves by mail order. You want someone local in case you have problems. Anyone else had burner issues?

wedgered--I have a very small kitchen (about 7 x 9) so I was also on the hunt for narrow appliances. I very nearly went with one of the Liebherr refrigerators (which really do look great) but ended up with a different solution--going with all undercounter refrigeration to give me more counterspace. Since I was truly space constrained I didn't have room for 2 24" units, so ended up going with the U-Line 24" combo refrigerator/freezer drawer unit, plus a second 15" wide undercounter refrigerator. The setup is working great for me, and I love the extra counterspace. You would probably need a bit more space than I have, but you might want to take a look at your layout and see if undercounter options could work for you. Here is a picture of my "refrigerator" wall: For my other appliances I went with an 18" Miele dishwasher which I love--plenty of space thanks to the cutlery drawer up top, so no basket taking up space. For my range I went with a 70 cm (about 27 inch wide)Lacanche Cormatin--just a bit bigger than the various 24" options like the Aga Companion (and oh so pretty!). If you really only have room for a 24" range, you might also want to look at the Blue Star--folks seem to love those over on the Appliance forum. I think American Range also has a 24" option which looks nice. Here is a picture of my range (in case I can tempt you away from the Aga Companion!) Enjoy your hunt for skinny appliances!

nsm - Great question. I originally wanted the Ringhult, but it's too dang expensive for this humble abode and I feared the look was too modern anyway. The pink undertone gave me pause--I even talked to the kitchen sales gal about it. She suggested it's because it's next to such a pure white with the Ringhult and the lighting in Ikea doesn't do it any favors. If you look at the other displays at Ikea--especially the sink display--that's Veddinge and it didn't read pink to me. The color is relative, I think. My walls are Sherwin Williams Snow Bound and they look very complimentary. I like the two together a lot. However, my fridge and range are closer to pure white and when I compare them to the cabs they look there iis a slight pink undertone. Of course, no one sees this but me and I actually like pink anyway. If one has stainless steel appliances I don't think they would notice the undertone unless they tried to pair Veddinge with a neutral counter or backsplash that has a yellow or green undertone, which would probably not look good. We've been using the cabs for about two months and so far so good. Since they're painted I don't expect them to last forever. In our last house we had the Adel white shaker style that I think was a thermafoil and I loved that finish. wore like iron. If the shaker style came in white rather than the creamy color I would have jumped on that style again, but I dislike SS appliances and white appliances with the Grimslov doesn't look good to me.

Actually MUA is not required by Code everywhere, only some areas. Regardless of Code requirements, the OP needs to do MUA with 1200 cfms because that much suckage carries with it the risk of sucking back CO into the house, i.e. backdraft. It's a serious risk because with that much cfms pulling air out of the house, other exhausts will be pulled in, like from the water-heater, furnace, chimney and dryer vent. That backdraft is bringing poisonous carbon monoxide into the home. You can get away with no MUA with an exhaust that is 400-600 cfms and if your house is drafty and not a newer super-insulated house. But not at 1200 cfms. At 1200 cfms, cracking a window will not be enough. You will need to install an MUA system. Either add that to the expense of your renovation, or choose a different cooking setup. People not willing to install MUA is a main reason why people forego the 60" ranges and their exhaust requirements, and opt instead for a 36" rangetop and separate ovens.
