Comments (15)Do you have sprinklers, a waterline, drip-line or any source of water in the pool area? I'm not trying to be un-sypathetic to your situation, it has just been my experience that problems like you are experiencing usually have a cause other than or in addition to a poor installation, which is usually some source of water....See Morelooking for Larrycb....fiberglass pool
Comments (4)I can say that I was/am thrilled with my pool. So glad we chose fiberglass. The pool is so smooth..no rough edges and feels great on your feet. The install made me a little nervous with the crane but went very well. I have posted pics on a separate posting. I had a small leak near the filter few days after install. They showed up the very next day to fix which was just a matter of tightening a pipe. The next time I called about a pump gauge check they came out the same day! The excavator was incredible. Concrete guy very easy to deal with. I cannot complain about ANYTHING! This is after going through a nightmare on an addition we did 2 years ago where the contractor was arrested twice during our build...you can only imagine! Needless to say I tried to cover all the bases this time and then some. Larry if your near Ocean county come take a look yourself..you have to get in it to feel/see the difference. Maybe by now waterworlds pool is warmed up...in April it was a little chilly. I use a solar cover and temp goes to about 83 during night and then back up to 87 or so depending on air temp and then cools off until i put on solar cover. I lose about 2 degrees overnight that is it. All in all...very happy....See MoreCan't find inground pool leak.
Comments (4)In order for the water to go out the backwash line, it has to go through the multiport. If you don't have a sight glass on the multiport or the backwash line, you won't see any water going through the valve. If you have turned off your pump and water continues to come out the backwash line, then it is siphoning out through the multiport. This would happen if the end of the backwash line is below the water level in the pool. You can either open the air relief valve on the top of the filter, unscrew the sight glass or cut the backwash line after the multiport to stop the siphoning. I am 99.9 % certain that the problem is with the multiport. The multiport valve is the one with the spring loaded handle that has different positions or notches that the handle fits into. The handle is the one you change positions to backwash the filter....See Moreleak in pool
Comments (1)StopLeak is a band aid that won't last, it it works at all. If you have a sump, look in it with a flashlight to see where the water level is. If it's even with the returns, pump it out. You don't want hydrostatic pressure popping the pool. How old is the pool? Did you put it in or was it already there when you moved in? Scott...See MoreLisa Hayes
