I'm looking forward to it too. Seems like forever, since it's been on.

This show is one of the nastiest shows on TV. We never watch it. This is what is wrong with our society today. To much of this junk on these days. I sure hope this isn't real life, it sure isn't mine...

i have to agree with you susie although i do watch tv, this is not among the shows i watch. i tried it but it didn't hold my interest.

I'm glad to see ANYTHING new on tv these days.

I love Housewives.

I think this show is cute and funny - of course these occurances doesn't happen in real life (as portrayed on this show) - yes, gossipy women exist, bickering families are real, out-of-wedlock babies are born, but relax - it's meant to be entertaining - it's not a reality show (thank GOD)!

Susie, do you want to watch your real life on TV? Everyone to their own taste; I for one avoid reality TV. And I suspect a show following your everyday life (or mine) wouldn't have much of a fan base. Not all that much entertainment value.

More to the point, whether or not I watch Desperate Housewives (and I enjoy it when I remember to turn it on), I respect Irishdancersgram to get excited about it. If this thread was titled "What do you think of Desperate Housewives?" then your response would be perfectly appropriate. But I fail to understand why anyone would jump in to throw cold water on another's happy news and insult her taste in TV showsÂeven suggesting something she enjoys is to blame for society's ills.

I will admit that I would do the same if someone posted about a favorite TV show that involved dog fighting or cat mutilation. Fortunately, we don't have those kinds of people here. But if you feel that strongly about Desperate Housewives, I suppose I shouldn't think of your post as mean-spirited.

Susan, I did not judge you or anyone else for watching this show. "I" look at this type of show as trash TV. We all have the right to watch what we want. There are alot of shows that I do not watch. Don't judge me for my choices. Did I memtion Irishdancersgram? No, you did...

Well...I am another who enjoys it..alot! I find it humorous, nothing wrong with laughing. It doesn't make me a bad person or a menace to society....at least I hope not! I have seen alot worse on TV......

IMHO there's a lot worse on TV today than Desperate Housewives. It's just a "show", not a social conscience. I've seen commercials that are a lot sexier & more tasteless than this show.

I love the show. It is a bit like real life but takes it way over the top. Anyone who has lived in the suburbs can identify the different personalties of those women with the cliques, both the shallow and the real friendships, the philandering,the family secrets etc. The show just exaggerates all these things as TV has always done. How many of your mothers were housewives in high heels and pearls like June Cleaver? How many of you had a house as nicely done like the Brady Bunch had? Not to mention the stay at mom AND a live in housekeeper. It's television. Enjoy.
