Baby Joey is 9 months old! (3 pics)

He pulls himself up to stand everywhere. If he forgets and lets go, he falls. But then he's right back up again! Under the hat/hood, his hair is light blonde with a hint of strawberry--just like his mom's. He says Mama and Dada, but not always at the right time. :-)

Thanks for being part of his extended family!

What an adorable baby! Yes, after they learn to stand, they need to learn to let themselves down gently!

Yeah Shawn, mine do at least, lol..I'm sure they dont do it special for me, lol. The seeds are in the black berry looking things, the seed pod will dry, peel back and reveal the berry looking seeds. When they are ready they will come off in your hand real easy.If you dry them well before storing, you can just rub them between your fingers to remove the dried berry/fleshy part. I leave mine on a piece of newspaper till they dry, then put them in a packet..I dont even take that outer fleshy part off. As long as you keep them dry they wont mold.

Hey that's pretty cool for a seedling. I expect a lot of mine will be even more boring to start with considering the parent plants i am using. but even now i can't wait to see what kind of flowers i get from the seedlings i have going. the two oldest seedlings - one is the little copy of butterfly and the other i should find out in about a month or so as long as i don't lose the bud. guessing it may also be a copy of butterfly. (i suspect it was a self pollinated pod i found at disney one year)

Elsa was 8lbs 1oz at birth, then she was weighed at 1 week because she wasn't nursing well and was 7lbs 10oz, then again at 2 weeks she was 8 lbs even, then at 6 weeks we had to take her to the hospital and she was 11lbs 2oz fully clothed, and then at her 2m appt she was 11lb 12oz. I swear she is at least 15 lbs by now. She will be 4m on the 27th of this month. She is a little bruiser...she is chubby everywhere but most of it is in her cheeks...they literally hang off her face, the little punkin. Shelby

Hi Ailsa, Nutherokie is right, I have the CIteaux. They only started selling them in the US last summer. My Citeaux has two ovens. A gas oven in the center, an electric oven with broiler on the left, and a warming oven on the right that goes up to 250. I actually chose the La Canche Citeaux for the oven space, vs other imported traditional looking ranges. Go see a Cornue - ovens are teeeeeny. I think they make a Cornue Fe thats bigger but to me it doesnt look like a La Cornue. And the Aga ... well, a lot of folks with them have not only another oven but another cooktop! We only moved in a few days ago but I adore my stove. I had a viking 8 burner range with a gas oven in my old kitchen, supplemented by a viking electric wall oven. I stopped using the wall oven because I hated the noisy fan. I do not bake much so rarely needed two ovens. Hence the medium size gas oven, coupled with a small electric and small warming oven, is more than enough for us. And the la cornue has such a lovely flame, it's turquoise points and blue. No idea why its different that my viking flame, but it is!

Thanks, everyone! I'm so lucky to have him and his parents so close. I babysit one morning a week, and see him at other times--we have fun!

Speaking of my grandchildren, my daughter just posted this pic on Facebook. Lizzie (with her dad*) takes another step in her recovery from her injuries.

*Technically, he's her stepfather, but he's a great dad to her.

He is sooo precious. It's hard to believe he is 9 months old already--seems like he was just born.

Lizzie certainly must be doing well...she is a very lucky young lady. Thanks for updating us on her progress.

Oh, he's so cute! My son Skyped me last night and showed me Sean's new teeth, just barely peeking through - he's 7 months old. This is such an age of awesomness - for baby AND family!

Oh Susan - you are lucky! He is so cute and you can see how proud he is of his new achievement. Thanks heavens we now have digital cameras - can you imagine how much you'd be paying to buy film and have it developed.

Yes, I can imagine--because I did exactly that with my three children and the first 8 years or so of Lizzie's life. Oy! But the best part of digital photography is the ability to share to my heart's content. ;-)

WE are the ones privileged to watch Joey grow -- and to see Lizzie getting stronger. A happy time for all the family; nice to share.

My Scots-Irish grandmother was called Lizzie by her family. In fact, I think she was "Lizzie" on the ship's manifest when she arrived in NYC from Ireland as a teenager.
