I dont normally post craft stuff on here,but I thought all you shoe ladies might like to see the quilt I made my granddaughter. She is 18,and a real shoe lover..

No! The ruby port is sweet, as you'd want for a glaze. The cabernet is dry, that is, not at all sweet. Sounds like you might be in a state where the government runs the wine stores. Like me. But even in Pennsylvania no clerk would suggest that substitution. A bottle of decent ruby port for cooking is very cheap. It will last much longer than a dinner wine like cabernet, because port is a fortified wine, meaning it has extra alcohol added. But it will not last like liquor.

I would like the sewing kit, a good medical first aid kit, safety kit with mini led flash light and pepper spray, and a loud horn alarm. I have one I bought at Academy sports, it's a small pressurized can with a horn on it and it is loud! For being alone it is great for having in hand in case you need to call for help. They have the pepper spray there too and flash lights. Having a good led battery light is great in case the power goes out too. I also keep a whistle in my emergency kit, they have orange ones for cheap at Academy sports. Here is a link that might be useful: Air horn

Buy larger size, one family I nannied she got alot of sleepers,etc. that her youngest son got at her baby shower and we kept changing him so he would actually wear and one was really long and yet when we said lets try it his toes are at the end and couldn't wear them long, they grow fast. What is really nice buy toddler clothes if you know if its a boy or girl. The baby equipement and such are extremely high prices, the car seats alone now a days are huge and like $300 and up and strollers and highchairs, all those things now. The best for parents to do is buy second high, join toy library where they sign for toys for however long its agreed and return it so kids get different toys. Instead buy books, that is so needed, read and be with the child in learning stage but enjoying it. I agree don't buy mobiles or things that parents decorate their babies rooms.
