Aha! Thanks. I did not see the 'Newton' reference in the mouse over. I guess I was too fascinated by the falling apple. I was actually puzzled that Google might be referencing some sort of celebrity or political gossip in the news, the way I interpreted it. That would not be typical of them to do so. I am a hardcore gamer, and love Pac-Man. I still think the best game ever made is Ms. Pac-Man. I played it till I got to the apple (about board 7 or 8 I think). The joystick makes the game much more enjoyable, though.
