I Found Something For A Penny!

Yesterday was grocery shopping day and after I was finished I sat on the bench waiting for Amber and Alyssa. In a bit a Grandmother came with her 11 month old little granddaughter and set her on the pony and she took a ride. When Alyssa and her Mommy were finished shopping, I had her put Alyssa on and she got to ride the pony, her first time. She enjoyed it and it only cost a penny. After that we had a very good pork chop meal at Bob Evan's. Has anyone else found something for a penny?

Yes to scratch off lottery tickets in hopes of getting millions of pennies! LoL
Not much for a penny these days, surprised that pony was a penny.

Not much for a penny. Do they have penny slots in Vegas? Maybe, and the jackpot would be $1. Sometimes they have buy one get one for a penny offer.

Years ago, those ponies were 25 cents, so if you saw one for a penny that was a deal. Can you imagine my now grown son just recently grumbled to me that I always walked past those ponies and would not let him ride!! Next time we see one I'll offer to pay for him to ride, so if you see a grown man on a pony, that will be my son.

Hi and welcome Rhonda. I use either rebar or a steel pole, but slip a piece of pvc over it simply because I prefer the plastic against glass myself. And I've been using the skinny bud vases for the bottom, to slip over the pole, on most of my totems. No Christmas cards this year. The address book burned up! If anyone wants a card they'll just have to come by and pick one up. Nice mum, I never had luck with them until I put in some dark pink ones last year, they are blooming like crazy. So are the brugs with all the rain we had last week. Supposed to be 74 on Wednesday! Of course, have to work, off all last week, rain and fog and cold (for us) every day. Tally HO!

I'm sorry to dissapoint you Edwin,but it turns out to be a somewhat conjested group of second year buds and is no different from its neighbor branches.The entire plant received a vigorous internal pruning and clean out in Dec. and the remaining exterior is visually enhanced.Its one of the more attractive mugos in this garden but still ranks behind Jacobsen to my eye.Thanks for your alertness.Doug

Dream, how sweet of you to think of me! That is a really cute little bowl. I don't order much online, the postage always takes away from the bargain prices! My grandniece found pennies on the floor in her room on the birthday of my sister's (her grandmother) death. She calls them "pennies from heaven".

If you can find something else for a penny ...

... maybe we can send some down to you, for our government's soon to phase ours out.

After which ... they'll be worth nuttin'!

(Which is a slight bit less than their value now).

I got a throw rug for the kitchen for a penny at the $ Store when we first moved here. I was at the checkout and the rug didn't have a tag so I ran back to get one that did. When she rang it up, she had a funny look on her face. I asked what was wrong and she said, "Nothing" and bagged my stuff. When I got home I saw the price of that rug. There was a line behind me, so I guess she didn't want to waste more time.

Aaron Brother's has a semi-annual frame sale where you buy one frame and get the second for 1 cent. So there you go. :-)

Another find: Walgreens has the Apprentice TV Shows, winners cube for walking. It's a square box filled with a pedometer and a light backpack....all for a penny!

Even penny candy around here isn't a penny. Two candies is 7 cents, including the taxes!
