I can't find a Thing.....

A couple of weeks ago my best friends were coming for a visit. I picked up the house and moved a few things around. They had to reschedule. So, the day before they were suppose to come for the second time, I had a few things to put away. They didn't show. So, the third time they were coming they actually made it and I put away some things before they got there.

I have misplaced my Digital Camera! It is probably with the DVD player my Brother gave me that I've never hooked up, because I can't find it.

I've lost my coupon book for my Garbage Man and my Mother's checkbook.

Anyway, Famey sent me an adorable little Condiment Purse and I wanted to post a picture. When I find the Camera. If I find the Camera, I will post it.

Wow, Gayle, that's a drag! I'm sure you'll find them soon. When I can't find stuff I get real quiet and basically meditate, when I'm done I ask where it is and the first place that pops into my head is usuall it! Good luck.

What's a condiment purse anyway?

I don't really agree that it has to be balanced by something else, sorry. After all fireplaces, bookshelves, and large entertainment built ins are not necessarily balanced by an equal mass on the wall opposite. As far as the seating, you could probably get away with it being just a bit wider than the table on each side if the table can slide out. This is done for restaurant seating all the time. It "traps" the people inside the banquet from getting up independently from other people at the table, but it depends on how many people are going to be seated there at all meals and whose seat that is. In our household we were never accustomed to people jumping up and down during meals. Everybody remained seated and One person would get up and get things if necessary (and no it wasn't always mom). In a small kitchen you may need to make some compromises like this.

Another vote for quartzite here. Where we live, quartzite and marble are roughly the same price (marble being slightly more expensive). We lived with marble before and while I loved the look, I did not love the performance- the etching staining, chipping... we are very heavy cooks and entertain often and I couldn't stand the thought of chasing people around with coasters. We've been living with white macauba quartzite for 7 months now and I love it- it doesn't stain, etch, or chip and seems VERY hard and not at all prone to flaking. We actually have it as all of our bathroom counters as well (same slabs.) I also love that I can put a hot pan on it without worry- I beat the heck out of those counters and they look brand new. I know you said you're not interested due to "flaking" and cost, but I'd have a look if I were you!

I have pictures under the topic "Flamey...I found my Camera". She made this cute little purse to put Sweeta, Water Flavors and Coffee Flavors. I'm gonna put my Tic-Tacs in it too!

I found the Camera, Main Man came in from his morning walk and told me where he saw it last.

Now....where is the DVD Player. I thought it was in Main Man's closet, but I'm afraid something will hit me in the head if I look for it. His closet is stacked to the ceiling.

I tend to walk around and straighten up when I'm on the phone and then later I find things in the weirdest places, so I can sympathize, Gayle.

I actually kind of like when I lose something because it gives me incentive to clean up and get rid of stuff. I hope you find your DVD player. It's gotta be somewhere, right? How about in a vehicle, any chance of that?

I hate that! Whenever I clean the place up I lose things too. That is why I tell my DH it is better to keep it messy so I can find things. LOL

It's probably that old hag, that's hiding it from you. A DVD player is kinda large, to be too far away. You'll find it as soon as the mean old b_tch leaves.
