Your right about that. Now.....if it was overlooking the beach I would be living in the bedroom and would need all that stuff. A frig would be included too!

My bedroom is small but it's still the biggest bedroom in our house. The only thing I would really like is my own bathroom. So many MB's now have their own bath. Even a door from my existing bathroom to the bedroom would be wonderful! Other than that, my bedroom is basically drab.Two windows but no great views. Lots of furniture shoe-horned in, a TV with satellite,VCR and DVD, it's all I need. Oh a clock and telephone too.

How big is HUGE?

"Big enough" for me has room for a chaise, side table and lamp as well as a king size bed and side tables. I like having enough room for two people to pass one another. There's no need for dressers if you have walk-in closets. I like windows throughout the house, including the bedrooms.

My bedroom is small, one window, quick access to the bathroom. What more do I need? I would rather have the space in the living and family rooms.

we have our own bathroom, big walkin closet, we do have a little chest of drawers, as hubby insists on having a TV in there, a king size bed, a bench at the end of the bed,
two nightstands and plenty of space around all of that.
I still dont' need a sitting area, or bright light! lol

Our bedroom is large......room enough for a king-size bed, 2 nightstands, couple dressers, a wicker blanket box and some small stuff.

I don't see the need for the huge ones with a sitting area at one end. I don't know anyone who would just lounge around the bedroom. If your home is big enough to have that kind of master, I would think you'd be spending time downstairs lounging.

But I do like windows; lots of windows and light.

I like big rooms, a two bedroom home would be fine, but I want the rooms large. I don't have to have handmade cabinets, granite or marble. My home is 1,440 upstairs and the same down, valued at around $175,000. I toured some $450,000 homes and I prefer mine. The more expensive homes were chopped up into small rooms, much smaller than mine.

really? when I'm back there, I'm mostly sleeping. And 4 am sun streaming around my light blocking drapes .. well,
I don't like it! LOL

We have a large bedroom for an older home. I would love more closet space and another bathroom. Don't need all the fancy stuff....

I need to get up and do something! hahahahaha

and the light coming it at 9 pm .
of course in the winter it's plent dark! lol

We have a very large master bedroom, a small sized "dressing room" and a smaller bathroom off of that.

When we were looking to buy, DH said, "The bathroom is sorta small....." How much time will you spend there? Ya shower for 10 minutes, you poop for 15 minutes and then come out and join us all in the family room with your newspaper tucked under your arm......

I cringe when I see realty adds - "Large master bedroom with walk in closets" Who needs that much room when you spend maybe 30 minutes a day in there with your eyes open?

Now, kitchens is another matter.......LOL

I have a big bedroom and, due to a back problem, spend a lot of time in it so it was very important to me to make it look as lovely as possible. I have a t.v. two twin beds, a chair, end tables, dressers and yummy carpeting. It's all done in tones of cream, warm tan and taupe and very restful. I have black out shades covered by duet fabric blinds and cream and tan printed draperies. My accents are soft aqua and a hint of coral here and there. Two drawer end tables and a it's my oasis. It's my favorite room in the house. I watch t.v. exclusively in that room lying down.

We didn't design our house. The upper level is 1,500 square feet--and that's just for two bedrooms (each has its own large bath and walk-in closet). The bedrooms are crazy large, but the house is also. Too much house for two people, but we fell in love with the area...and it was a foreclosure, so it was a deal we couldn't turn down.

I like a large bedroom and wish it was larger. I go in my bedroom early and rest and watch television. Seldom use the living room. Family room always has cops and cowboys running though it each evening and weekends. Now I like both but not all the time, :) I would like more natural light. I only have one window, average size double hung. Would make a nice place to read if it had more light.

I agree! I don't really need a big bedroom and neither do the kids- they hang out in the livingroom with us. But DO give me a big walk-in closet! Biiiiig closet. :)

we had a ok sized br..holds our king bed (dh is 6'4") and we have a faux fireplace, lol...now if i had big closets i'd be very happy! and we don't have the coveted masterbath...
