Cool! You get to do something you love and are good at, and the kids reap the benefits. That was very nice of the troop leader to do that.

Yes, I do minor repair and sewing for the girl that does my hair and I get haircuts and color. Works out great for both of us.

The lady that gives me my massages goes away for the whole summer. When she is gone I get their mail and call her husband in WA (she goes to BC to visit her folks) and he tells me what he wants me to send on to him. I also check their house to be sure everything is okay and will take care of what needs done in thier yard. For this she gives me 3 free massages.

I get to feed DH and Posey Cat for the pleasure of their company....is that bartering?????? :^)

We own a business and we do it all the time. Computer maintance, lawn mowing, a landscape project. We also barter with the man that paints bikes. One of our new customers is a hair stylist and I'll be getting hair cuts.
Shhh...don't tell the tax people!

We own a business, too, and a customer of ours who is a veterinarian was nice and did this with us. We had vet bills for our little dog Spanky (who has since been put to sleep unfortunately) that totaled around $900, and she said that she would just apply her invoices for computer repair against what we owe. That really helped, because I didn't have the extra $$$ then.
