Any TV shows you're looking forward to seeing next month?
Comments (24)I don't think most of mine start next month, but: Homeland The Affair The Americans Rectify Billions: this one is not my favorite as I can't stand most of the actors, but I am loyal to Damian Lewis who I loved in Homeland and in The Forsyte Saga, so I will watch it. Bloodline The Fall (BBC) Gee, just typing that list out made me eager. I just rewatched all of Homeland to prepare for the next season and heard today it won't start until January :(...See MoreYou must watch this series if you're building!
Comments (12)Love this show! I wouldn't agree that it is free of made-up drama, though. There are loads of memes out there regarding the somewhat predictable format the show can take. https://www.buzzfeed.com/scottybryan/this-is-what-every-episode-of-grand-designs-is-like https://www.buzzfeed.com/tabathaleggett/jokes-about-grand-designs-that-are-true-af Everyone watching knows these are pretty spot on, lol. But still a really great show. With so many shows on HGTV and the like, it's a shame there aren't more that follow an entire home build from start to finish....See MoreHow would you re-purpose this? Comments (32)Gosh don't tell me I'm the only one with "stuff" they don't know what to do with? I have this. It's from a house my parents bought that was built in 1900. It's the back from a fireplace, but IIRC the fireplace was more modern so gas, maybe? It's NOT iron...I'm not sure what it is, really. The center circle opens up via a hinge and it's about 20 wide by 27 high. It would fit my fireplace perfectly, but it would be sitting sideways :( Anyway. Would you get rid of it and try to exorcise your sentimentality, put it back in the closet, or try to so something (?) with it?...See MoreStreaming shows - what are you watching?
Comments (76)Binged "Emily In Paris" last night. I love that show. Perfect TV IMHO, because it is just as good with the sound off as on. So much eye candy, which is one really good reason to watch TV/movies IMHO. If it's just ho hum gritty dreary everyday life, it had better be a pretty engaging/uplifting plot or witty dialog for me to want to bother with it! :) The two things I like about EIP is that they actually show her doing real(ish) work and doing it well. Problem solving. I dislike work themed TV shows where the work is largely irrelevant, as if that were possible IRL. I also just ADORE the fashions. Made me feel seriously bad about letting myself go, although in my line of work, doing a lot of outdoor field work, I could not pull off most of those outfits to wear, considering the situations where I would be wearing them would be very few and very far between. If I could even FIND or fit into such outfits. But I would like to up my wardrobe game, that has been on my "to do" list for a long while, but I seem to have trouble finding clothes that fit me and work with what I already have and that I can afford. Even little tweaks sometimes take me months to realize. For example, I have a skirt I just love but have been searching for years to find the right top that goes with it. I "grew out of" the ones I used to wear with it. I also like how the show "Emily In Paris" is slightly "meta" meaning they at least acknowledge some of the unreality of the setting, even if just to poke fun of it . . ....See Morejennmonkey
