Aha! I knew I should have known what that rose was Carla! Makes me hungry everytime I see it:) Thanks for the birthday greeting Judith and I hope your garden is holding up well under winter conditions:) I always smile everytime I see you post. Hi Judy and thank you for your wishes, your blooms are beautiful. I agree with Kate the cupped roses are lovely whatever they are. I'm glad you enjoy my rose pics, yours are very enjoyable also. Thank you Celeste, it's always nice to know I touch someone with my love on minis. I've told you before I saw the roses sitting on the table at the nursery waiting for a ship date to you and admired what you were acquiring:) Very beautiful roses, tell me which rose did you find for Grace? If it was Grace Seward by any chance, you will be very pleased with that one. It looks like doves in flight. I spent hours looking at all of your pics initially, I believe I have a couple of roses in my garden thanks to you too:) I'll tell you what I did Kate, even though the minis might look dead, don't give up on them, keep watering them along with the others in your spring, as own root roses, they can come back from the canes and the roots. They're pretty tough roses, so don't pull them out too early and give them up as dead too soon. I know this from experience and can show you from pics. Thank you again Celeste, you were one of my first friends on here and I'll always remember how you helped me:) Les

Thanks Hostaholic, Nanny and Riz! I also like Caravan & Quintessence! Midnight looks gorgeous. I shouldn't say I don't like Silk Road or Triumphator, because I haven't seen them up close. But I tend to love detail like green nectaries, raised papillae etc! I went ahead and made my decision this morning and ordered 1 Scheherazade, 1 American Spirit and 1 Arabesque from Alice at The Bulb Crate. I had already gotten Anastasia and Golden Stargazers last year. Then I also ordered 100 cherry red & blue species tulips (only 4 inches tall) for our yard (Little Beauty), as well as 5 each of these lilies from Van Engelen: Speciosum Rubrum Speciosum Alba Black Beauty Excelsior (oriental) Dot Com (asiatic-Tango) My eyes are always bigger than my wallet! :0) Phyl

hapyfrustrated..... I mentioned LS on another thread. I just got two of her dvds. I am 58 need to lose 50 lbs and not very active. I bought LS's " Walk at Home, Walk Away Your Waistline" at Barnes & Noble. It has a 3 mile walk with 1, 2 and 3 mile markers, so you can see how far you walk. The tempo of the music increases as you go along. Also it came with a walk belt you use for resistance. I like it, it is easy easy, and that is what I needed to get started. Since I have Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome I cannot start out gangbusters and hurt myself, or I will quit. BTDT. So I started with the one mile, then two etc. My DD sent me LS Walk the Walk, it is a Christian-inspired workout for FIRMING, lovely music. I like to alternate the dvds for variety. I also got a Richard Simmons Sweatin' to the Oldies (I know you didn't ask about it, but I like it),. It is fun to dance around to the oldies songs. Today, dh and I took the dogs for a 2 mile walk, so I will do LS dvd tomorrow. We are retired now, and I find that if I get up and do my 'walk' first thing, and get it over with, I don't worry about it. Good luck with what you decide on. June

I agree with ruthy...gotta do what you feel works for you, but I think the two do not complement each other. If the buffalo check was red, then it would give you a shabby chic look with similar colors and the spread would be great. Since you already have the black curtains, but like Pottery Barn, perhaps the more muted colored patterns would be a good fit. Do you like the Bethany or the Audry...they are still busy but the colors might not be so competitive. I personally love the Strawberry Tree and almost bought it at one time. Have fun and you can always return it if you don't like the look.
