Both pics are of Heirloom. It appears to be a deeper colour toward the end of the season and depending on the time of day, for instance towards evening light. The first picture is true to colour and when taken in the shade it is very blue. You can see the right hand tips highlighted by some sun, tend to be more pink. I love capturing these mauves at this particular light and I find them all including Ebb tide more blueish at these times. I am sure you do too Les, as you are the star of the "lavenders". :) Have a wonderful one.

I may have started the day off without caffeine but I had some nice messages waiting from you and Kate:) This is my memory thing but I forgot what this beautiful rose is and if you don't have it in HMF you need to put it there or if you need help, I will for you:) This is one of my favorite colors and I have it similar on a mini I like it so well, thank you for this photo.

Thank you Pauline, I love Heirloom! If I could get this rose to look like this, I'd grow it. Instead I have to admire it from afar in yours and others gardens. With my heat I'm doomed to mauves instead of purples, but I keep trying anyways. I'm rather stubborn that way. Yes, I have a lot of lavenders and enjoy them very much, that's as purple as I seem to get. I had to laugh at the JP catalog, they have a pic of Burgundy Iceberg with the purple blooms, at best, again I have deep burgundy:) I do have 2 more roses coming, one that's 'guaranteed' purple, we'll see, LOL*
Thank you for your wishes and your photos which I enjoyed very much. I still owe you an email. Yes, I have a garden bench that is green cement with dragonflies embedded near the rose garden.

Good Morning Kate, I don't have a clue what this rose might be. I posted on here to see if anyone knew what it was and the closest looking suggestion was Joyce Barden so I ordered me one just to see. Crazy I know. I bought six of them at Lowes about three years ago and either it didn't have a tag or my old brain has just completely forgotten. Thanks a bunch and have a good day, Judy

I'm a little late, but I wanted to join the others to send my best wishes. You helped enable me into growing miniature roses and I am adding even more this year. 2008 was my first year with minis and I was delighted with them. Hopefully they make it through my tough winter!

Thank you Celeste, it's always nice to know I touch someone with my love on minis. I've told you before I saw the roses sitting on the table at the nursery waiting for a ship date to you and admired what you were acquiring:) Very beautiful roses, tell me which rose did you find for Grace? If it was Grace Seward by any chance, you will be very pleased with that one. It looks like doves in flight. I spent hours looking at all of your pics initially, I believe I have a couple of roses in my garden thanks to you too:) I'll tell you what I did Kate, even though the minis might look dead, don't give up on them, keep watering them along with the others in your spring, as own root roses, they can come back from the canes and the roots. They're pretty tough roses, so don't pull them out too early and give them up as dead too soon. I know this from experience and can show you from pics. Thank you again Celeste, you were one of my first friends on here and I'll always remember how you helped me:)
