What are you eating or drinking at the moment? I'm having my morning cup of the tea with a granola bar.

It was fun reading all of this, especially since it goes back to '06. That first post of Lars with the cherry cream soda...yummmy. I only consume coffee if it's ice cream, Kahlua or some other dessert. I like tea, black, green, but not any spiced teas. Really dislike mint too. Mostly I drink flavored unsweetened seltzer, iced tea or lemonade. Occasionally I'll have a fruit soda, but I find them too sweet these days so I mix them with my seltzer. Alcohol? Not really. Don't like wine as a rule. I can deal with a little champagne or Asti. Will drink vodka, that Kahlua making it a Black Russian. Smiles. I can go several years or more without having any alcohol. Last year I turned my current [at the time] vodka into vanilla. This fall an old friend from high school came to visit and brought a bottle of vodka. I had 2 light Cape Cods and when he left I turned the Svedka into vanilla. LOL. In winter in the evening we either have hot tea or hot cocoa often. I do love hot chocolate made with cocoa or even a nice chocolate bar.

Love the shape of the pitcher - does it have a stopper? I would put honey in it instead of syrup, however, but whatever you use most would be appropriate. It looks small enough to use as a cream pitcher also. Anyway, I love special serving items like that. I've never seen stemless wine glasses. Like David, I need to replace a few myself! I watch Mark Bittman fairly often, and while I don't like his personality, his recipes do sound good - generally fairly quick and fairly easy while also including interesting combinations of ingredients. I think I would like his cookbook much more than his show!! He spends a lot of time in Spain, and I love Spanish food. Lars

You really need to find a vet you're willing to work with. The other symptoms concern me and she needs more tests run. I think the pedialyte is just giving her a boost, yet she's slowly getting worse. Did the previous vet not comment on her lungs or did he even give her a thorough physical? Do you have a 'cat only' clinic in your area? If not, ask friends or call the SPCA for vet references. I know how frustrating some vets can be.....I went to one that never touched my cat and would point at her with a pen. Needless to say, I never went back to him! But, there are good ones out there........so keep searching.

Very sorry for your loss, Paisley. I've put 9 to sleep. Of my four left, one is deaf and blind in one eye and it won't be long; one of the others has oral cancer that is being treated by cauterization and antibiotics (of all things); another has had benign tumors removed from his ears, and the oldest is in the best health of all! I hope you get over your grief soon. We'll all be thinking of you... Nelson

I just got home from the thrift store, bought a panini maker for $3!!!! I just made ham & cheese omelettes with toast. For lunch.....panini.

I just did part of my grocery shopping at Wal-Mart. Have to go back to Kroger for fruit, veggies and meat. But, while I was at Wally World, they had ready-made deli sandwiches for only $2.50 so I bought one. Pastrami and cheese, hot after I put it in the microwave. It's surprisingly pretty good, eating it with low salt Lays potato chips and orange flavored Gatorade.

Diet coke,i also came back from the store a little while ago.Had to go get my fresh fruit at our farmers market/health food store.Then pick up my meds at the pharmacy.DH is taking a nap and the house is very quiet,so here i am playing on the putor,can't beat that for a saturday.

Late for early church, so had usually prior coffee, after.

Then off to second church, at usual hour, after which another coffee.

Then back for various soups, choice of about 6 - 7, at first church coffee hour: I chose cream of asparagus and cream of cauliflower.

Then another coffee with cake.

I should have enough hot-shot to last me for the rest of the day, I figure.
