How do I get external display to mirror display
Comments (2)You might unplug the vga, then try to bootup in safe mode by tapping the F8 key on boot. It's a long shot, but just may get a minimal display screen where you could go back in and change the display settings. I use s-video from my pc to tv, so don't have any experience with the vga setup to tv. Never had a screen go black from any of the settings....See Morewhat can I make with antique pharmacy bottles, or how to display
Comments (7)Wow! Lobelia, rhubarb, witch hazel, Mandrake!, myrrh, and something without aloe. Rather an amazing collection. I would love to know how some of these still common plants were used. I too would be concerned about preserving the labels. Maybe take a nice picture of them sitting on an old wooden crate with your black cat in front and sell as a poster. I'm tempted to suggest a shelf above a doorway in your kitchen, but if its like my kitchen they would get dirty. Glass cabinet may be the way to go. Kathy...See MoreHow do you display collectibles?
Comments (24)Unless it's pairs - things usually look best displayed in odd numbers--it gives them more interest. Since it looks like you have a more trad room - For part of your collection I would suggest putting them on wall brackets to display. On the table, I wouldn't use more than 3 and put at least two on some kind of higher riser, be it a few hardcover books, a marble/plexi riser, small pedestal cake plate, candleholer--I've even used old brass lamp bases too. Tallest in back, lowest in front. For the lowest one - maybe put that on a mirror, small tray, plate that coordinates with color of figurine. Also, there's a product called Museum Wax, you take a bead or several and "glue" the object to whatever it's sitting on to give them a little more protection from GS. I use it because I have cats - it's also used where earthquakes are can occur. BTW - Its not permanent, Jim...See MoreHOW TO DISPLAY A PENCIL COLLECTION
Comments (10)^^^ terriks, that one would be wonderful, and the size shown is not expensive at all. Perhaps the craft person could custom make other lengths/sizes, potentially with flat rear for wall display... I do like the curved front - interesting. And this one is the nicest looking and fully shows off the items, IMHO....See MoreRelated Professionals
