thanks Dave! I have done a few juniper cuttings but was under impression J.virginiana needed to be grafted? I was planing on collecting today but we are getting snow with high winds this afternoon.I did collect wood from four brooms yesterday! I was hoping to get more to ship this week. what are your thoughts on cuttings with this tree? I am here to learn! I would enjoy all the input I can get! Rob

I don't generally get sick often, either, but I'm used to "pushing through" whatever I've got because I have 3 kids, a PT job, 3 dogs...and a DH who works long (and inflexible) hours. I have now felt not-right for a month now, though, so on Monday I'm heading back to the doctor and asking to be tested for mono. I actually slept 13 hours last night, but I'm still dragging. Fortunately we are at our beach house in the pouring rain, so I'm just sitting around reading all day and watching the rain from the porch. DH commented to me earlier today "you never rest!" Well, duh. Since I arrived here 3 days ago with my youngest DD, I've emptied and "power washed" the porch, assembled 3 pieces of furniture, gone shopping, carried heavy night stands from garage to 2nd floor bedroom, and bought a headboard at a consignment shop with the intention to sand and repaint it before we leave on Sunday. Okay, maybe the headboard can wait. I don't know how to rest but I'm practicing today!

Well, I’m not a boomer (I’m GenX) but I can guarantee you that there was not that level of casual sex in the late eighties, early nineties when I was in college. Obviously people had sex, but at least among my friends and sorority sisters...it was pretty taboo to have random sex outside the context of some sort of relationship. I am sure there were girls that did, but they were outliers. Maybe they were happy & liberated & doing what they wanted...but the few girls who I was aware of that did this were girls with self-esteem issues. They were treated badly, and it was sad. I really hope you are correct, Robo, and the article is being sensational. I also hope that it isn’t that bad where we live in the SE.

SALMON QUICHE WITH WALNUT CRUMB CRUST posted by SharonCb Preheat oven to 375 degrees F Pastry: Easy - doesn't require rolling, just press down with fingers and back of a spoon into a 24 cm (9.5 inch) pyrex flan dish or pie plate. 1 - 1/2 cups flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup cheddar cheese (grated) 1/2 cup butter 1/2 cup walnuts finely chopped Mix these ingredients in a bowl, cutting in butter with two knives until crumbly then press into a pie dish, including up the sides. Bake in pre-heated oven for five minutes. Then remove from oven. Meanwhile mix the following ingredients in a bowl: Filling: 3 eggs beat till frothy 3/4 cup sour cream 1 cup mozzarella cheese (grated) 1/2 onion, chopped 1 can salmon (7 3/4 ounces) - I prefer fresh piece salmon that has been baked - 'smoked salmon' is really good too. 1/4 cup mayonnaise Pour these ingredients into the pie crust - bake in oven approximately 45 minutes or until knife inserted in centre comes out clean. The top is usually a nice golden brown colour. If you don't have salmon on hand, tinned tuna works well too in this recipe. Annie
