I had this thread saved on my PC last fall and I thought that I would repost it since there are some pools on here that aren't on the "Everyone's pics" thread.

Oh my gosh, I'm trying to look

back and see everyones pool pictures but This is taking me forever~~ WOW, and

I can't keep them straight~~What is the chances of everyone :) RE~posting your

pictures of your pools right now rather it's at the tree cutting/clearing stage

or the finished product.... It would be so great to put the name with the pool!!

Thanks so much!!!!! Angie (By the way my husband is the one that post the ? about

the pump and different things, I don't know anything about that stuff :))

The best I can do to fulfill your request of "posting your pictures

of your pools right now" is below.

This picture was taken 30 seconds ago. The picture is updated ever minute

(refresh browser). Little background, I put this webcam up during the

building stage so that I could check out what was happening in the yard

when gone. My access gives me live video and I can preview or remotely

move the camera to other locations via webpage or cellphone.

Wow! Thanks for the update. I had forgotten about some of those pools, suburb and qdog especially. Great stuff!

itsawrap: THANK YOU! I could have *sworn* there were more photos in the Gallery. I thought Gallery threads weren't supposed to "drop off"??!? It was cool seeing Jeff's and Retro's pools again!

mindy, Thank you for all the compliments;they are well received. I had forgotten that I had posted to this 'thread' back in November. I should have noted that the Lonicera in my garden photo was the cultivar, 'Alabama Crimson'. Below is a close up photo...it is more red than the photo shows. This past fall I did have a few photos featured in the GPOD. I'm not sure they'd be interested in the above full garden photos...they seem to like close ups.

I forgot to look back to this post. I have flowers galore on several of them and they are still in the pots they came in. I have the 3 still in pots , I dug them up to check the roots. The roots look great but there is no sign above ground yet. So I will be patient as you say. All of the ones that I planted out and are from other sources are all the way up the trellis and are covered with buds so I am well pleased with them. Over all it is looking like our drought is over here so I am hopeful. Also I went ahead and fertilized everything w/osmocote to give a boost. I hope that was good. I have bone meal and got 50 pounds of cottonseed meal today. Is there a rule for how much of these on transplants and established plants ? THANKYOU> C

the_big_bad - Take a look at old1880home's first post on this thread. The first photo is of quartz, the unsightly orange spots are pools of resin, the second photo is the granite replacement. I did a ton of searching and that photo is the best example of resin pooling I found. When I look at quartz now the pools of resin are all I see. The sooner you remove the weed fabric, the better. Roots will grow into it (from area trees, as well as weeds and perennials you have there) and make it more difficult to remove the longer it is there. I would remove it first thing when the ground thaws in the spring. Just rake off the mulch, remove the weed fabric, and replace the mulch. DH put down some landscape fabric 15 years ago over my objections around a windbreak of trees he planted and the fabric is so ingrown with roots now that it is literally impossible to remove. It is easier to use cardboard or multiple layers of newspapers under the mulch to smother plants you don't want than to deal with the ongoing issues of landscape fabric. Or remove all new leaves repeatedly as soon as they appear from the plants you don't want. Without the landscape fabric, the mulch will break down over time and will amend the soil, just requiring top dressing of more mulch over time rather than adding amendments under the mulch. Keeping the landscape fabric there will interfere with movement of nutrients, organic matter, air and water.

Here's our 40 year old pool remodeled with Black Pearl PebbleTech with shells. The deck repairs are still not finished but they are finally working on it.

Thanks for posting your pics! All the pools are beautiful. Itsawrap - we are putting in a rectangular pool and was wondering what your pool finish is? Pebble Sheen? What color? Thanks! I hope ours turns out as well as yours!

Heres our pool. Came with the house but was just a fiberglass shell in the ground. Added tile and coping and a few other touches.
