I really like a salad made of assorted greens, tomatoes, cukes, croutons, chunks of cantalope, shrimp, with a chunky bleu cheese dressing, served on a plate and a lot of time to eat slowly and enjoy it. Dottie

fresh greens, spinach, green mix from the grocery store, or the ultimate, greens out of the garden, add
sliced tomatoes,
sliced mushrooms,
sliced strawberries,
blue berries,
sunflower seeds,
shredded cheese,
croutons,
fresh herbs (basil, parsley, chives, salad burnet)
and top with the favorite salad dressing of the moment. :)

A good mixed salad with shrimp and avacado added.

My version of shrimp salad, dressed with homemade Thousand Island dressing, or my potato salad.

My favorite is 7-layer salad. Don't throw things at me but I like Jello salads, too!

I like most salads, fruit, apple, carrot, pea, potato, macaroni, bean, tomato, and of course any leafy green salad.

I like romaine lettuce with:
tomatoe
bell pepper
sweet onion
cucumber (burpless)
beet leaves when available
shredded cheddar
Top with french dressing and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

Taco salad (the one I make)
my spinach salad with red onion, mandarin oranges, dried cranberries, and toasted almonds topped with rapberry vinagrette.

The only kind of fruit I like on my salad is dried cranberries_. I don't like a green salad with strawberries or oranges in it. Yuck. :-)

Most any vegetable salad is good...broccoli salad, greek salad, spinach... no avocados though.

I crave this once a year. Especially my mother's.

My niece makes the best macaroni salad. I have tried several times and just cannot match it.

Warm spinich salad here too. I wish more restaurants would serve it the correct way.

I also like Ceasar salad with freshly made dressing...no bottled stuff.

I would love to have a wilted lettuce salad like my Mom used to make.

Spinach salad with red onion, bacon, mushrooms and bean sprouts. Buttermilk/Ranch dressing. Yummmmmmmmm

Carol, I remember mother making wilted salad with hot bacon greast. Don't think I ate it.

I love a good wilted lettuce, my Grandma used to make it. I think all hers used was bacon grease, sugar and vinegar, heated well and poured over the lettuce.

I love a really good Chinese chicken salad. Not the over-built absurdities you find in American restaurants but the ones you find in Chinese restaurants.

I also like fresh fruit salads.

Cucumber salad is good too.

I like most any fresh green salad with lots of veggies.

I don't like the new fangled salads restaurants try to push that are topped with hot chicken,beef,grilled shrimp or whatever else they can think.

My salad is like Moni's. I put everything in it but sadly for me I have to do without the mushrooms now. I make a huge dinner salad. Sometimes I will add salmon or tuna or slices or left over steak or a cut up pork chop. I always add green olives to my salad. I would rather have the fruit than tomatoes not in season. I like cherry tomatoes too.

I'm new here, but will jump right in since it's a food topic!

I love ALL salads~~fruit/veggie/lettuce/pasta/potato/egg/tuna or will try something i've never had. I make a salad w/romaine/goat cheese/dried cranberries/candied walnuts and top w/rasberry vinegarette dressing(Paul Newman's is good!). Along with a slice of Health Nut or Pumpernickel bread, it's a meal in itself.

My Mom used to make wilted lettuce~YUM! Also a German Potato salad that was TDF! ;o)

Probably a ceasar salad.

Taco salad, I take it to pot lucks:

1 head iceberg lettuce, chopped
1 cup grated colby cheese
1 4 oz can diced green chilies
1 tomato, diced
1 can chile beans with the gravy
2 cups crushed tortilla chips(ADD LAST)
1 bottle green goddess salad dressing

Jumping in to say these all sound delicious, and patti43, a big family supper here wouldn't be complete without a jellied salad!

Chef salad. I make a salad of any available greens, add turkey, ham and swiss cheese, tomatoes. Any dressing will do but my favorite is Ranch.
