How large is he? Cute guy!

German Shepherd and Pittbull or Bull Mastiff- That blocky head is coming from somebody with a blocky head. Your dog has very short hair and a tail without feathers. The same as a pitt or a bully mastiff. I too would like to know how much your dog is and what he weighs. I have a bull Mastiff husky mix and his feathery tail did not show up until he was 2. So if your fuzzball is still young, he might change his coat a bit.

Do you have a picture of him standing? Maybe front and side views. I love trying to guess breeds, but for a definitive answer you can actually send off a dog's DNA now and find out what breeds he is.

What a cute expression on a cuter face!

With that cute crinkly forehead and the set of his ears, I think he might have some Boxer as well as the obvious Shepherd and maybe Lab.

How old is he?

To me, he looks like a pup or young dog, & I think there's definitely some Mastiff in his famiy tree.

I would say Rotty because of the face and that expression, could be a bully breed too.

The father could be a mixed breed also, which would make it more difficult to guess. That's one serious-looking face on your pup!

His name is Max, he's 8 months old. He was last weighed at the vet about a month ago and he was 73 lbs then. I would guess at least 75 lbs right now. Some of the dark color on his front and hind legs are changing to a tan color. I have bene told his teeth are similar to a pit bull. I included another pic of him standing.

Thanks for the extra picture. He is so interesting to look at. His legs have good shape and bone. My guess would be many breeds. What would give him the Beddlington terrier back shape? Something like wolfhound or deer hound along shepherd? I have no idea, but he looks like he could hunt all day, even if you were on horseback!

Wow, he looks a lot like my boy that I adopted in March. I think mine is a shepherd/beagle mix. What do you think? (I will try for the very first time to attach a photo now)

He actualy does look alot like him. I think my dogs heads a bit bigger.

And yes he will run and run all day. I like wearing him out so he'll sleep at night. Otherwise he'll be up terrorizing the cats. :P
